Repco mark up is huge

Well now that I dont work there anymore and can confess that I did (need outways choice sometimes) I can say half you know what your talking about and half you dont. Also many of you do not have a clue of the inner workings of such places.
Untill you have done a sentance there I dont think some of you should even post here. That place can supply you cheese cake and perfume if you want it let alone auto parts.
Theres always two sides to a story and remember there can be wallys on both sides of the counter.
And if the ones who complain about someone else being cheaper, well there is a sign that says there price wont be beatin so why dont you use that! they do honour it unless said item elsewhere is a sale item etc.
I wont defend the place but I wont except miss truths either (about anyplace for that matter) and will point out the truth.
And as for 100% mark up. well do any of you know what mark up is on your wife or boyfriends wedding ring is! makes 100% look pathetic,
And remember if places like Repco and SC didnt come to town you local parts dealer wouldnt be all that cheap as they would have no competion.
And do you realise that Ford Holden Toyota dealers are putting parts sourced from these places. So you may have a Repco sourced part in you Holden you didnt think you did lol.

BNT are good

Repco get the best of both worlds, they buy the cheapest (on 90 day credit) and sell the highest, making for a good $$$ return for their investors. Then they up the list price so they can offer a higher % discount.

repco are just fukn useless.never go to them.

I used to work there and totally agree with the poster that said there are muppets on both sides ot the counter.Markup there ranged a lot, you couldn't pin a percentage to relate to the whole range.For example car audio. not much in that. some behind the counter parts. HUGE!

Repco is the place to go when you need an emergency part over the weekend.But I despair every time I go in there at all the retail space devoted to bling-bling rubbish - yards of shelf space devoted to seat covers, car deodorants and silver skull gear knobs, yikes!
