Define budget! Your budget could be 20k or 2k.Had a few people movers so tell us price range and see how we go.

That leaves you quite a significant array of models to choose from. I was initially thinking under a couple thousand as being on a budget!

For that budget there is only one I would buy, VW Touran. Its just miles ahead of the opposition in that Price bracket. The 2.0 FSI and the Diesel one will both give you excellent economy but the Diesel one is the pick of the two if you can get one at the same price. You can get an 04 or 05 model in nice nick from around 12K. The 6 Speed DSG transmission and the super efficient FSI and Diesels is what makes those cars, you just get so much more power and economy than anything else of that size.

p.s we dont like granny looking sort of cars.

Trouble is. I have just suggested the 7 seater version of the Euro rubbish that was on your yard!

7 people don't fit in a "granny car"
thejazzpianoma,
Dec 27, 9:04am
Can't be that bad if you sell cars with the same running gear though aye!

They are cheap for a reason. I take it you have not driven one for any length of time!

Not at the high km's that OP can afford at under 15K for a Touran

Hmmm must have been having a wee dream when I popped in and test drove the one on your yard then! BTW, thanks heaps for your help with that one. he decided he needed a Turbo one though so ended up with a Turbo A3 (equivalent to the MK5 Golf GTI)
