New sidchrome is shyt.

wire cutters.I have the most wicked wire cutters, cut anything.I'll run and grab them and put up make and model.cost about $100 not easy to find, but you will never buy anther set.

tonyrockyhorror, Dec 29, 3:40am
Sure is. I have a 1/2" drive set from about '88 and that's even borderline.

mrfxit, Dec 29, 3:46am
Ditto
It's a bonus if it stays together for another beating

mrfxit, Dec 29, 3:52am
What are those wire cutters called that have a lever system.
not std side cutters/ bolt cutters or slip jaw types or gear cogged

theres a set here that brutal at cutting anything you can get in the jaws but they don't open very wide.

jasongroves, Dec 29, 3:57am
Koken & Fuller Pro for sockets/ratchets.
Fuller Pro & Crescent for screwdrivers.
Spanners & ratchet spanners are a selection of Britool, Fuller Pro, Koken and Stanley.
Everything else is/was generally bought as it was needed.have some Super Works Gold stuff in there too which hasn't let me down yet.
The Britool spanners I got when I was 16 which was 13 years ago, and they were 2nd hand then. Haven't broken or bent one.

mrfxit, Dec 29, 4:04am
Can't find the same model or even 1 for sale of the same type but heres the patent type

Click the sketch's on the right (cammed pliers)
plenty good enough for cutting HT fence wire

unbeatabull, Dec 29, 4:09am
My toolbox mainly consists of Powerbuilt, Ampro, Snap On/Blue Point, Koken, King Tony. Don't have any problems with any of them, only things I have had troubles with are the cheaper no name bargain bin tools that you sometimes collect thinking how bad can they be .

jasongroves, Dec 29, 4:12am
Oh yeah.forgot Powerbuilt.

minta-steph, Dec 29, 4:14am
Mostly power built but am changing to the toptul brand slowly as they are great quality and reasonably priced

the_don_61, Dec 29, 4:17am
Had a quick look.xmas eve earthquakes stuffed up my garage again.
Cuters are German made and have red handles.dont have a lever system.I use them for cutting bicycle gear and brake cables.std steel and stainless steel also for bicycle spokes.also for motorbike spokes, and car/house wiring if needed.also hydro brake cables. infact anything that fits in its jaw.I would not try and cut 6mm bolts, but upto 3.5mm is fine.
I've had my pair for 15 years, used 20-60 times a day for 10 years.

the_don_61, Dec 29, 4:19am
Powerbuilt.is the old used to be called Alltrade tools.New label flash packet.made in back ally china

richard198, Dec 29, 4:19am
For me it's a mix of Snap on, Britool and Koken (and some Stalwhile & Knipex)
None of them break; it's loosing them (left in customers cars etc!) that bugs me!

rsr72, Dec 29, 4:19am

Britool 3/8" socket set,
Stahlwille short and long ring and open-end spanner sets 6mm up to 36mm,
