Teachers are the WORST nick picking, spelling, grammar Nazis (note capital - it is a proper name). I agree with all who've made reasonable comments here and appreciate that those who do make an effort to go along with writing norms to at least sound intelligent and make themselves understood well (the main purpose after all).

That's what we pay them for.
Parents ought to be upset if they weren't.

wy karnt yus al jus lirn ta rite an spel propply lik wot i duz!By the way, if you find text talk frustrating when you can see what's written in front of you, try it with synthetic speech.Believe me, that really presents a big challenge.I try to make sure my spelling is correct, (see original part of this message) but I have to confess to getting it wrong quite a bit of the time.
Cheers

Some people can text, adjust the car radio or change the CD,drink their coffee or V,have a drag on the ciggie and eat their breakfast while driving from lane to lanewithout indication on the NW motorway in the morning. Not sure what this has to do with this thread, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

i dont mind people who have difficulty spelling things but what brasses me off is people who use txt talk or American English, just tells me they are more than likely lazy people who cant make an effort. If thats what they are like here then what are they like at home/work etc, Equally lazy!
