My profile starts with "after having met & traded with some awesome ppl on here its a shame to bump into a few tossers (such is all areas of life I suppose)" I think 1:100 (or even 1:50 depending on what youre buying/selling) is still a pretty good ratio, sou yours is still awesome. Just laugh the dude off as one of lifes pull-trhoughs

Yeah, Im sure the seller would give you a refund. You dont drink Tui's by any chance do you!

All the above, plus ~ Its a VR4 Galant! The buyer was well aware of this fact. Then moans when it craps out! Where has he been living!

morrisman1, Jan 5, 7:12pm
I like how the buyer says that the car is expensive in their feedback but it was a $1 reserve auction

lookoutas, Jan 5, 7:23pm
The mentality of the punter is shown out by the dialog/spelling.

friendly_prawn, Jan 5, 7:24pm
unforutantely, some people just dont have the ability to reason.

vtecintegra, Jan 5, 11:14pm
You don't get any feedback though and feedback helps to build confidence for future trades

phillip.weston, Jan 6, 12:56am
yeah but toby's got good feedback from over 200+ people so surely that helps. Sometimes I wonder how I've managed to make it this far without a red, there have just been many drop kicks who show up who expect the world for the peanuts they are paying. Some people can be really difficult for sure.

friendly_prawn, Jan 6, 1:00am
actually its the opposite.if he had of done $1 reserves he woud have lots of badfeed back which would actually ruin his credibilty.
The problem with the $1 reserve auctions is people bid with out viewing. then on pick up, they dissagree with your discription. Result bad feedback. Some bad feedback isinevitable with $1 reserve auctions. Sooner or later, you just know its going to happen.

On another note, anyone know why Im not getting any bites on my listing!
Its been advertised for a couple of weeks and It's the cheapest cefiro on trademe, yet still no lookers. Any thoughts please!

whqqsh, Jan 6, 2:11am
I have had a few offers of "I'll remove your red when (or if) you remove mine" but Id rather have a red, be honest & warn others of drop-kicks than lie & let others not have fair warning

phillip.weston, Jan 6, 2:27am
Yes that's very true but you can take steps to ensure that you don't get disappointment on $1reserve sales. I make sure the description is as honest and bang on as possible and take as many photos showing all aspects of the vehicle. Haven't had anyone come back yet.

phillip.weston, Jan 6, 2:39am
If it were me I would have listed it as an auction rather than classified.

Being a 2L it is the least desirable model of a relatively undesirable vehicle to begin with. The kms are perceived as being high even though 200,000kms is nothing for that car and engine/transmission.

the pictures don't do it justice - if I'm following the pics like a story I'm jumping straight to the negative imperfections of it and instantly click X and move on to the next vehicle. You need to take 15+ excellent pictures of the outside and inside and load them in a logical order, then perhaps if there's room provide maybe one or two pics of the superficial damage, which is to be expected of a car of that age/milage anyhow.

The description can use some re-wording too - seems very plain and doesn't sell the car very well.

That's just my two cents!

cheers, thats really appreciated.
Can i ask, where do you see the price of it at!

phillip.weston, Jan 6, 3:14am
what you've lowered it to is perhaps about right.

give the car a good decent clean, slap some tyre shine on the tyres and polish the headlamps and take some more pics of it, and get rid of the pics at obscure angles - it does no good for that car.

I'll do everything you have said. busy at the mo, so will get on to it on the weekend.
Thanks for the help Phill.
Much appreciated.

yep, nice photos.
Actually I thought i had my car well priced and it would just sell quickly, that's the main reason I wasnt too worried about the content of the add.
I obviously got that wrong.
Will sort out new content for add on the weekend.
cheers mate
