cuda.340, Mar 2, 2:58pm
sh!t i'd be too embarrassed to admit to owning a majority of the crap listed here. i guess a lot of you have no real taste in automobilia.

male_timaru, Mar 2, 3:53pm
most of the cars over last few years have been $200-$1000 buys and sold for $600-$2000 respectively - hence the money for the next project etc - i made money but had i taken the cars to a garage and got THEM to do the work then i would have lost money! Can't see why we can't charge for our own time on our private cars eh!(i work on pricing them at $10 per hour for my own cars eh - so ergo car a takes 15 hours to repair and get ready $150 onto price as well as parts costs and rego and wof then sell for that price)

fordkiwi27, Mar 2, 4:00pm
xa coupe ,70gt torino,57 fairlane. others i dont really care for.but i do love my 96 hiace.

fordkiwi27, Mar 2, 4:00pm
$10 a hour!haha

male_timaru, Mar 2, 4:12pm
yep - good price for working from home i reckon - if i was going to make it a business i would have charged out at $25 per hour for home rates but i didn't want to make money so i couldn't get classed as a dealer - i was buying the cars for me anyway not just for buy do up and sell

I just like changiung cars a lot - i get bored soooo quickly of cars - only car i wish i owned again was my old libero gt wagon and my old Mu tbph

im_andrew, Mar 2, 4:13pm

Giod there's a lot of rubbish alright.
Hope many are beginning to climb up the prosperity ladder now.

male_timaru, Mar 2, 4:21pm
hehehe those cheapo TM bargains (when you get em are worth their weight in gold eh) like my $1K sr20de bluebird - yeah i paid more than i should have paid elsewhere but those $500-$700 engines hadn't done 150000kms they'd done 283000 and 318000kms lol!

It hasn't let me down once and runs like a ddream - just need to go to Parrots in Chch and get the electronic speedo sorted - odo and rev works but speedo jumps and nudges and works then doesn't work lol!Only fault of car!

vtecnet, Mar 2, 9:11pm
I can't argue with 500ks from $62. that was around town too
Drove it Frugally. amazing how economical it is considering its DOHC

male_timaru, Mar 2, 9:32pm
hehehe yeah i'm looking at that white one on here!I'll have to come see your new wheels - did you sell the flashed up bmw or is that the one you still own!

male_timaru, Mar 2, 9:34pm
having said that i got an amazing fuel economy the other week with sitting on 85-95kmh all way to and from timaru - hahaha $40 lasted me that trip plus 3 days driving round town here - reached over 381kms from that $40 ( $1.76/L or similar at time for 95) - which i thought was gobsmackingly good (especially for a twin cam 2 litre auto)
