phillip.weston, Feb 26, 8:01pm
I'm not a fan of American cars but even that car is not a bad looker at all, and I like the idea of an all alloy DOHC 32V V8 engine. pity it's driving the wrong wheels. I wouldn't count on the reliability of the automatic transmission though.

phillip.weston, Feb 26, 8:02pm
perhaps this is worth a watch - http://www.youtube.com/watch!v=QYvlDPujer8

tool.man, Feb 26, 8:02pm
true about fwd. but i think the sts model which is exactly the same is rwd

tractor9, Feb 26, 8:03pm
Nah, Masport Briggs and Stratton

gunhand, Feb 26, 8:03pm
Wow such negativity with no real reasons. many cars can be hard to get parts for.
Its cheap enough for what it is and something different. Its a V8 and accorrding to many only have 3 moving parts and should do 6 million miles before needing an oil change. Although a 32 valve sounds like it has at least 35 moving parts.
Hey Its kinda cool I thinks. Go for it.
BUT some modernish yank tanks are known to have odd problems but there are plenty of places who will know about them i would say.

tractor9, Feb 26, 8:08pm
+1. If you like it, go for it. One can't go worrying what might happen if. Get it and enjoy it, every man needs at least one toy to tinker with .

gunhand, Feb 26, 8:09pm
There arethousands of scumbag pedophiles in NZ and prob 4 of those cars, dont see a conection unless they are all owned by pedophiles of course.
Bit harsh dont you think, its just a car he likes for gods sake.

tractor9, Feb 26, 8:10pm
Don't they ride pushbikes!

phillip.weston, Feb 26, 8:13pm
How would a car which is 'exactly the same' somehow change its entire drivetrain layout! Both the SLS and STS are FWD with a transverse V8. The last RWD Seville was in the 80s/early 90s.

tractor9, Feb 26, 8:17pm
Oh really !

carkitter, Feb 27, 1:54am
Those were built to appeal to the Euro market so have better suspension than your usual American barge. At that price I'd seriously consider it. Chuck's in Henderson Valley Rd would be the place to get advice, parts and servicing done out West. Expect to become a guinea pig as any issue becomes a riddle never tackled before.
