Does anyone know if it still on the ship!

They were saying today in the news that there are a number of containers that they are going to push off the wreck into the water, then retrieve them from there.

Way back.I remember reading an interview with the owner of that car,and I'm sure he said his container was stacked right in front of the bridge.
Those have all been removed.

Man I hope he got it off! If it were right in front of the bridge but on the lower deck, goodbye :(

I've seen articles of people with furniture on board who were unable to find what part of Rena their container was. However some of their personal items washed up on Matakana Island the other day so they now know their container is somewhere at sea.

Little or no chance now for Monaro, containers being pulled into water before crane recovery as crain can't reach due to reef.

bigjerry, Jan 20, 2:43pm

bigboi22, Jan 20, 3:50pm
so long its taking to fix this prob our countrys a joke

843, Jan 20, 3:56pm
i think it is worse to know they have not recovered 500 containers

it is mind boggling to find out how much these ships carry

trogedon, Jan 20, 3:57pm
What language was that guy speaking!

guider1, Jan 20, 4:00pm
If it were an old Falcon you'd only have to shake the containers, the squeaking suspension would tell them which one it was in. It would have rusted even before being exposed to salt air anyway.

bigjerry, Jan 20, 7:26pm
oh come on mate, really! go and think about this would ya

Its my car, and I have had no info on it being removed..Because it was being shipped to Fremantle it was second from the bottom, row 9 which was right where it cracked...so I think the octopus theory is pretty much correct, unless there is some kind of miracle which I doubt. Also it was a GTS not an LS.
