I know what your gonna think and your going to have your own idea about it BUT JUST DO IT ANY WAY! BP CAN SHOVE IT UP THERE @RSE!
-------------------------------
THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' PETROL FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET PETROL BACK DOWN TO $1.00 PER Litre.
This was originally sent by Phillip Hollsworth, a retired Coca Cola executive.
If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this winter, take time to read this, PLEASE.
Phillip offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day' campaign that was going around last April or May!
It is worth your consideration. Join the resistance!
We are going to hit $ 2.00 a litre and it might go higher! Want petrol prices to come down!
We need to take some intelligent, united action. The oil companies just laughed at last year??

Does this former high powered executive not realise there are only 6.9 billion people on earth!

I will continue to buy BP 98 for the petrol car(s) and whatever diesel is convenient at the time, but prefer Shell.I rarely buy any other brands an I am not changing now.
Far better to petition government about the fuel tax which then has GST added. Try travelling to other countries far away from oil production and see what you pay there.I think UK is now up to about $3.25 a litre - depending on currency fluctuations.Their VAT (GST) has just gone up to 20%.

Oh God, here we go again.
60 cents out of every litre is tax. You're boyoctting the wrong people idiot!
The only person that would be hurt out of this is the franchisee who owns the place! If you buy from other places, it just equals more profit for another company, and it doesn't really matter if one company went out of business anyways because they control the market! I can't believe people listen to this BS.

besides, no matter where you buy your fuel, some arab family somewhere keep on seeling crude, and yeah, it aint gonna work.

It only takes a few sentances to explain the idea, so why is this post so long! I realize its copy and pasted from an email, but if the idea is such a great one why does it need a page of BS to convince me to go with it!

Because an email says so! Yes, I do see a sheep.

We all have freedom of choice - especially when the only station for miles around is a brand we don't care for - so the choice is put some petrol in or get stranded by the roadside.
How many of you were/are happy to buy cheap Chinese clothes whilst our own industry has totally fallen over! How many of you now go into Rodd & Gunn and tell them you are not buying now because none of it is Kiwi made these days!Ditto Levi jeans (they used to make 2,000 pairs a day in Christchurch), Bendon - used to make 11 million garments a year (male and female) locally.May be off the topic a wee bit but same sort of relevancy when it comes to choice.
All our petrol is imported and they are a cartel.Even if demand dropssignificantly overall - the gummint will merely increase the tax to maintain their tax grab!

Umm.no I haven't gone to a BP for 5 years now. Baaaaaaaa Baaaaaaa

Can all you brain boxes answer this question. Why can you still buy a 4 ltr pack of oil for the same price as 10 years ago!.even 20 years ago.
74nova,
Mar 9, 4:53am
Not good enough, I'm after real answers.
74nova,
Mar 9, 4:59am
And something else, How much oil does it take to make one litre of petrol! I've never heard the media ask these questions.
skin1235,
Mar 9, 6:30am
on this you are nearly accurate, it has increased a little, but
I still buy my oil at the local BP, the one that employs 6 people, and those 6 have partners and children, some even have mortgages, the 'owners' of the BP are able to live in their home they pay for out of their income patially derived from that sale of a 4 lt bottle of oil more importantly it is 50km to the next nearest service station not under the BP banner
I note that although you claim to be NOT a sheep, you speak the language well ( Baaaaaaa Baaaaaaaa) on at least a couple of your posts
