So I gotta ask, where the hell did you get all your numbers that you quoted on your website! 700kg of lift at 200kph! How did you measure that exactly!
toxicgreen.,
Jun 12, 4:19pm
Senceing equiptment attached to each strut, as car gains speedthere is a speed where car loose,s weight that was compressing the springs and the springs start to extend by 4 or 5 mm(car in original shape,no wings). As simple as plasty gauge really. If you googled autospeed .au /aerodynamics/downforce. You,ll find simple but effective ways to watch a strut working.

That thing looks horrid. Butchered. And your in Hamilton! Please God dont let me see this POS driving around.

what where you thinking mate! its simply terrible, I praise your automotive enthusiasm though, does that car evin go 200kph! also what motor is it running and what mods!

I did notice the car in your video is front wheel drive. Without being too negative, I fail to see why you want to increase rear downforce in a front wheel drive car.I race a front wheel drive car and my experience tells me that acceleration causes the front to lift and take the weight off the front wheels. The worst case scenario is torque steer. Reducing downforceto the front also lifts the weight off the steering wheels and lessens control. Providing increased downforce to the rear is surely exagerating the problem. I find that a more productive way of increasing rear end performance is to stiffen the rear spring and thus reducing the weight transfer from front to rear.I understand the backend of a front wheel drive car is simply providing stability and should be treated as such.

And do you think that is something new!

you made a sway bar out of mild steel box section!
you know sway bars are made of spring steel so they car flex what you appear to have done is reverse engineer a live rear axle of sorts sensing equipment!dont spose that was a friend driving beside you on t straight guestimating how high the car was sitting
also a car does not create lift due to the roof being longer than the floor it creats lift because the air going under the car is pressurised into a small gap between the floor and the road hence down force is made by limiting air getting under the car (front splitter) and increasing the volume of space under the car (rear splitter)
and to quote you "invented here first ever in New Zealand, 2009." is bullcrap it has been around for over 100 years, it isnt incorporated into sedans because extra space is more valuable than a very slight gain in aerodynamics, not because no one had thought of it.
GET A REAL JOB

I'm all keen on trying things but its a different story to try and sell something like this.
Automotive aerodynamics are not a simple concept and your descriptions on your website dont inspire much confidence. I'm not an aero expert, but my engineering experience has taught me to be aware of how complicated aerodynamics are. If you havent yet I would recommend reading a decent automotive aerodynamics book as a start.
centec,

.even a basic book on flight principles would help.

2 questions here, you seem to have all these great aerodynamic ideas (which may i add are not new designs created by you as you say in your website.) But have you ever actually put this car on the track and set some kind of mind blowing lap time with them!
And secondly did it ever cross your mind that the reason your little hot hatch doesnt like 200kph corners is the fact that its a fucking hot hatch. its not a fucking race car.!

So you say you used some sort of "sensing equipment". What was it exactly! And did you take into account the initial corner weights of the vehicle, the spring rates and the preload compression of the springs! I am questioning this due to you figures stating that your car produces more lift than a Cessna 140 aeroplane.

Check out "dent in the tank" thread, only bit of advice he taking on is mine. 100% all good,I got the know how .

Well shit, you should go get yourself on the board at VW's engineering department then. Show them all how its done right!
Let us know when Pininfarina call up and offer you a directors position as well yeah!

what i want to know is . who else is in your team lol. im assuming there must be more than one to be a team!
jezz43,
Jun 13, 3:25pm
notice hes gone quiet since the question regarding his lift exceeding that of a cessna, either hes full of sh!t or he knows be been caught in a lie and cant produce any more "facts" about his "100% all good" work,
do NZ a favor mate, stay away from cars, and stop trying to pretend you know alot about engines, for starters you cant even spell half the crap your saying, secondly none of your figures match up. thirdly, wheres this race team! ive been to many race meets and never seen it, wouldnt a racing team require you to actually race! otherwise its just a bunch of backyard mechanics building sh!t cars right!
v8cougar,
Jun 14, 6:35am
also a "team" requires more than 1 member, not just yourself.
If there is any other members in your team well they must be just as stupid as you are.

i have never heard some one talk so much garbage relating to a vehicle.
gazman_7,
Jun 14, 9:15am
I'd say he doesn't actually race. There's no way in hell that roll cage is MSNZ approved or homologated. Open track days sure, but he wouldn't be doing any kind of real racing with that paper mache cage there.
Also seems that he's either taken his site down, or doesn't pay his bills :
