Once you get to a restricted you go to your licencing center and ask for a licence exemptinon application. Yamaha have the new R15 which looks like a R1 but has a single cylinder 150cc engine for $4999 brand new or for a bit more coin the new Honda CBR250R is a single cylinder 250 for $7495 also brand new, the Honda is cheaper than a new 250 Kawasaki or Hyosung, lighter than both and much much better build quality.
