Have you ever driven on a European motorway! Not only are they far better designed than our roads but in the vast majority of cases there is a speed limit (often 130 fair weather, 110 in rain).
Also in many cases traffic flows as slowly or even slower than it does here due to the number of trucks on the road.

Did it occur to you that there are people more than capable of driving at 100-110km/h and being very safe with driving while someone falling asleep or woman putting on her make-up at 90-100km/h is more dangerous!
Extra speed doesn't necessarily mean extra risk. Lack of driver education causes extra risk. Your speedo may be bang on 100km/h but it could be out 10km/h therefore holding people up at 90km/h who actually wish to do the 100km/h legal speed, who are entitled to do that. Why don't you just swallow your pride and pull the f**k over and let people pass. The more you hold people up, the more likelyhood of some git behind you is going to get impatient, try a risky passing manoeuvre and therefore likely to cause an accident. I bet you're one of these people who ride the center line so no one can see ahead of you, speed up when it comes to a passing lane, and travel the same 80-90km/h speed through 70km/h zones through small towns.

Not a bad wind up, a bit crass though, could have been subtle about it, which would in turn have been more effective.
I died yesterday when I was trying to get the jetting right on my 600, I died so many times as I held it wide open in 4th gear to see/feel what she's doing, s*it I died just as I got out of 1st as it broke the speed limit. I just keep speeding and dying.it's a habit sorry, killed 14 cats by 10,000rpm in 4th and seven school children.

Did you get to learn that while being a marshall at meets! A Marshall, lol haaaaa ha ha, you know everything cause are are a marshall!, oh that hurts its so funny. Is this like the story you told about doing a runner from the Police in a Telstar with a trailer on the back! Ohhhhhhhhhgod that hurts, it still makes me laugh, and now to find out you are a Marshall! You take tickets for other people to race and you know all about speed and control!Nice.so nice. Ha

That's not speed though, the arrogant twat doing 90 and refusing to pull over cause he thinks he's right is just as guilty.

Just read the very 1st post,I am personally SICK of slow drivers doing 20 to 30kms LESS than the speed limit NO matter WHERE I am,I hate driving in a 50Kph area doing 20 to 30kph.
When on the open road the other day I was on time limit & the cars in front was all doing 80kph when it was 100,and that is going by the speedo, when checked the GPS unit I was only doing 75kph (cos at 100 on speedo I am really doing 93kph),hence WHY I am so sick of slow drivers.
I am not a person that speeds, just like to use the speed that I am allowed to use & get from point A to point B with less holdups.
(now wonders if I am going to slamed).

Agreed, but you have to realise this and it is a fact, road rules are based on the lowest denominator. They are designed so the worst of the worst drivers can drive safely, if following the rules.
That means a lot of road rules don't make sense if you're not an idiot, for example, red light arrows at intersections. There are many times where you could easily turn right at the lights, but because some people are incapable of driving safely, a red arrow prevents that.
Speeding may be breaking the law, but for some people it's perfectly safe to do so.

I never have a problem with people tail gating me, I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I pull over in a timely manner and allow whoever behind me to pass.

Cant say i am a fan of the reduced tolerance but so far there have been no deaths this weekend. It would appear the new policy and its wide promotion has scared the average driver into slowing down and paying attention to the road. If that is the case then it has been a good thing.
