Mobil, caltex they all do that.

attitudedesignz, May 13, 5:44am
So a cell phone "exploded" on the forecourt and the pumps didn't blow up.

Well that proves the fact useing cell phones at servos does f all.

I'd be more worried about the HUGE spark inside an un-sealed distributor cap.

Great news, our workshop exterior will get a new paint job for free.

johnf_456, May 13, 6:45am
So how does this make the people in here morons! Yes that maybe the case for the one station you work at, but sure is not everyone.

mrfxit, May 13, 9:18am
LOL ohh dear. bad day/week/month at work . mmmmmmm

Yea know the feeling.
I did 12mths graveyard (Friday/Saturday nights at a Shell station) wife managed (2ic) a small main road Shell station for a couple of years, been there seen that done it & spent another 3 years forecourt/handyman at those 2 stations

Doesn't help the attitude with a sneaky ripoff boss & accumulated "same" feelings/treatment from work mates about the boss etc included.

mrfxit, May 13, 9:20am
Pass on explaining that BUT . not hard to find the same lack of teamwork /bad attitudes etc at other stations around the country in the last few years.

We caught our old boss ripping off the staff via various means & Shell head office basically told us that "staff problems" were the station franchise owners problem regardless of legalitys

Bet you will find the greenstone name is already registered , im sure they would have loved to call it that . Suppose they will drop oil packs, use shelf space for more overpriced junk food ., i use shell with 20c lsupermart voucherso hope that stays .

whqqsh, May 13, 2:42pm
looks like a logo that should be on a cheap chinky imported energy drink can.

nzoomed, May 13, 6:19pm
they could of called the stations greenstone gas or something along those lines instead of the letter "Z"
ROTFL

johnf_456, May 13, 6:34pm
Greenstone gas is too long personally.

neville48, May 13, 6:48pm
If you want good petrol then buy gull fuel,it comes in from singapore because its cheaper freight than their refinery in Perth and is a far superior fuel to any crap we get,[remember we only have one refinery in new zealand and all the biggies suck out of the same tanks] if you muck around with products there you get in deep pooz. Shell is just a brand that they have to pay 10 mil a year to use so they are going it alone as Z[ed] thats cool,12 months down the track it'll be just another gas station owned by foodstuffs as they all will be.coles myer/kmart own all the biggies in oz[apart from the matildas and gulls etc], so go gull for better fuel.

nzoomed, May 14, 10:49am
i will be interested to know if the fuels sold will still be branded as shell, since it is shell fuel being sold, i dont understand why they would need to pay licencing for that.
It would be no different than selling coca cola, but labelled as cola.

offrd1, May 14, 12:18pm
We have a proper service station here in Collingwood, they pump the fuel, ask if you want your oil checked, clean windscreen and they don't sell food.lol.very old time service.they are South Fuels independent Station [ you can use Shell Card ]

offrd1, May 14, 12:22pm
I think the reason the name has been re branded is that Greenstone has to pay something like 8 million per annum to use the Shell name, where as re branding is a one off payment .

rsr72, May 14, 1:07pm
' Shellz ' - !

johnf_456, May 14, 2:39pm
Or the static generated from getting out of the car.

johnf_456, May 14, 2:40pm
Correct

johnf_456, May 14, 2:41pm
Awesome that would be like walking back in time here in Auckland.

whqqsh, May 14, 2:47pm
so does that mean without that licensing cost their fuel price will come down!. didnt think so!

offrd1, May 14, 3:42pm
LOL.I guess you would be right but i think the rebranding is very expensive

antz91, May 14, 4:01pm
gangsta yo.

whqqsh, May 14, 6:30pm
but its a one off cost, not yearly like a license

iginoi, May 14, 6:54pm
Sorry man if someone's been a prick to you in the past (or today for that matter) I don't know how some numbnuts can change from a 'dropping shell brand' thread to 'gas stations ain't what they used to be' thread, but I hope they're reading this:
Stop complaining to the forecourt attendants, they don't control the f#ckin fuel prices. Get off your phone c*nt. It's easier to smile than frown and you feel better when you leave.

johnf_456, May 14, 7:07pm
Yup, cheaper in the long run.

offrd1, May 14, 7:33pm
I guess thats the difference between the city and the country, people here not in such a hurry, most will always have a chat with the attendant
