"The comments that were complained about" - by whom! Moderator or TM users! I asked how many complaints had been received and not having received an answer, assume it was a moderator's decision.
However, taking the second complaint first.The terminology is totally correct and in context. It was a direct quote from a much loved and respected girlfriend way back in 1965 whose father was the headmaster of the Boots (Drug company) further education college; her mother was a senior maths teacher.She was not only a highly educated and respectable young lady as a teenager, but until her recent retirement was an international examiner for the dental profession.The quote that even young girls having a spat would "bitch, and bitch and bitch" was not only a direct quote but I refer you to the Concise Oxford Dictionary - a tome you are probably unfamiliar with, as you may be confusing "gangsta rap" terminology with correct English usage.
Quoting page 120 of my 1964 edition:"bitch.(derog) woman, esp. A lewd or catty or treacherous one."Note the word catty.
I therefore suggest that any complaint was not only ill founded but from someone with a less than adequate knowledge of the English language.Just for the record, I did fail English at school, but that does not mean that someone with a university education has a better vocabulary.
As to the other comment "moderapers (whoops, another typo) have no balls" is a play on letters that maybe the late Ronnie Barker would understand and refers to moderators who equally jump to justify a complaint such as the one above and do not exercise commonsense or a male approach in their application of issued warnings.
I therefore request that the issued warning be withdrawn and an apology submitted.

TM have partially accepted that the 'bitch" was in context but didn't like the other partialword.Once again, it seems a bit pointless in pointing out that rapacious means 'grasping, extortionate or predatory' and has no sexual connnotation in that context.But I just can't be bothered dealing with people with a warped mentality who can only see what they want to see in a post.
I am no pugilist, very mucha pacifist in fact, but I have positive things to do at the moment, such as organising this Saturday's race meeting at Hampton Downs, supporting Rally NZ, rather than fighting the faceless ones.
A week later, organising our BMC Silver Jubilee Race Series dinner, so I won'tbe bored without TM.
Will then be away from TM for a while anyway!
Rob-man was next on their 'hit list' it seems.!

Utter rubbish, you can think that but I certainly am not. Has said time and time again I will point it out on here from time to time but I do no take it to the top. Nothing wrong with politely letting someone know so they know rather than get an official warning as such. And even if I did which I didn't narking is not a crime.
Reading a thread in general trademe are having a clean up of the messageboards reading between the lines as they want to bring the standard up. Have a search in general you will soon find out whats going on.

I've been away with the family on holiday and have come back to find this thread.
Having met and spoken to Ray on a number of occasions, I can vouch that he is a gentleman who has always stopped and taken the time to talk to me on his busy days at HD.
Now that Ray has received a 'warning' from TM, it has left a bad taste for all of us.
Should this sort of treatment continue, I wouldn't be surprised if this motoring MB was dropped in favour of another - one that offers a far more inviting atmosphere.

Cheers Cam.I started a thread for all those others who have received warnings or a ban and there were about 40 responses in no time at all - but that thread seems top have disappeared.
One can only assume the moderators in their infinite wisdom (sic) have pulled the thread as they normally delete offensive individual posts.They appear to resent any comment or criticism and seem unable to differentiate between morons and helpful people or those with a wicked sense of humour and potty mouthed immature little plonkers.
Far from moderating an offensive thread, this is censorship at its very worst and signals a rather strange management policy as they seem determined to upset the very people who by virtue of their trades, have in fact made TM the financial success it is. They appear to be playing right into the hands of an opposition once a viable one appears - and it will. Meanwhile, several have migrated to the far more mature m_t_r auction website.

Sorry teacher - typo not a spelling Nazi issue! Thick fingers and a new keyboard not helping. Must be a sign of aging as I used to be able to achieve about 33wpm (at 100% accuracy of course) , now probably down to 20 and not getting any better. Eyesight not so brilliant either.
