My old boss has a '69 RS:SS, was 396 & 4 speed, till it got a 427! Then he broke it. backwards into a tree, also built a '69 Vette, 427, tri power, 4 speed, was on the cover of Classic Car mag.

go later model the 60s 70s are like driving tanks my cous has a general lee with worked 440 bremo brakes all round i have a 85 trans am firebird with worked 305 ok it leaves me behind on the straits but when it comes to handleing and breaking say the raglan divi it leaves him for dead

paid ten k for 85 firebird matching numbers had sum damage to the hood linging a mate loved it so he went looking for one bought a 85 iroc z28 in pices built it up to mint and only had it for 6 months most people we know prefer the transam

The OP was asking about 67 - 69. How later models drive has nothing to do with it. Although correct. I brought a 73 Mustang for that reason. But would I own a 67! Too bloody right!
