lol. never loaned to him again, this is a small town, cant be getting a rep for the other options
been a total rrs of a week so far, today has topped the cake so far, am on dailup, slingshot have some strange ideas re service etc but the worst was heading 15km up the gully to drill a paddock - no easy feat, drill is too wide for gates so has to be on a trailer to go from even the road into the paddocks, all up 3 tonne, the roller behind it is equally as big, and theres only one trailer to suit, so two trips just to get there, get all in place and hook into it, typical cockie, supplied what he thought was 27kg/ha for 'oh about 6ha', only problem is the drill said 6.4 when it ran out, 4 runs short of the end, and more seed is back in town, and no other vehicle, so off to town in the tractor, 2hrs of pissin around - finished finally, loaded the roller and took it 22km furhter up the gully, equally as remote, find the paddock has a small gate direct off the side of the road, maybe 12 ft of road with a huge drain opposite the gate - and a 100hp ford (at least 15ft long) with a 15ft trailer behind it with a 3 tonne roller on it, some very cleaver backing to get it in, unload the roller, go back for the drill but dropped a front wheel of the tractor in the drain 3.5km walk to the nearest phone, cell phones don't work up there, tweaked my back somewhere too so walking was a real pleasure, not, and nobody home usual for us to just use what weneed up there so no issue with going in and phoning for another tractor to pull the damm thing back to an even keel, but nobody answered for near an hour, and when he did it was to ask me to bring the ford down and pull him out of a wet patch he'd dropped his into eventually he turned up with one of the road works graders - but had to go another 2 km past me to be able to turn that around utterly magic day

finally got the trailer back to the drill, load that up and head back down the hill, snapped a loading chain halfway down and the drill decides it wants to walk off the side of the trailer, I'm already at max load and tractor brakes are notorious for working real good aren't they, thought I was going to write off the drill but managed to lean it into the bank before it got right off, then spent more time sore back and all getting that back into it's chocks, get the whole shebang up there and decide the paddock is just not ready, it is not worth chucking seed into a paddock in that condidtion, so returned all the way back home with the tractor, went to hook up the power harrow when the back said ' thats enough for today' crawled into the lux and went home, thats when I found out slingshot had decided they didn't need loyal customers anymore, home phone the works, all down, drove 50 each way to org a move to telecom, possible could have done it from here but too pissed to think straight, and I don't mean alcohol, had a few painkillers since and still waiting for them to kick in properly, gonna be a right B of a day tomorrow, and if I remember correctly the dieseltanker is empty, the fords empty ( 180lt tank) and the boss is way for 2 days, got plenty of farm cheques but our local servo is down for the next few weeks so another 40km to the next diesel pump as a starter for the morning, arrggh
