The fact that an N-GT GT3 S-Cup 911 (a full category less than a Holden or Ford SuperCar series car) with an experienced driver managed a 2.11 and change around Bathurst today with the same lap time you'd expect from the bigger cars.
OR that the "Mighty" Nissan GTR could only do a 2.26 with a pro/semi pro driver before taking a little bump and hiding in the pit lane for the rest of the race like a little girl.

So an Audi Lemans GT3 car could not beat a V8 supercar! The V8s are slow (well thats what everyones says) LOL. They are fast, esp when they are 1260KG and rev limited to 7500.

was the Audi the same spec as Le Mans cars! I heard the commentary say they were 550 or so hp which is about standard for a V10 A8! I've driven a car with older version of that V10, and I believe that was 500+hp. Makes me think the Audi R8s were much closer to standard than a Le Mans car. !

Its a GT3 car, factory delivered, semi-stripped and roll caged. Nothing at all like LMP or GT1 homologations.

Didnt see any falcodoresin placings , saw 1 falc that lasted couple laps & there was aHSD turbomentionedrunning .Factoryholden / ford not prepared to take on the euros !The kiwis in the 135 BMws dis well ., & Baird &coin the 997probably would have been overall winner if it wasnt for that dopey first lap pit stop stratageywhich left them 1 lap behind. Had to do minimum of stops for set time so dont know what they thought they would acheive .

I didn't see the full exchange but there was a lap where that Porsche was hot on the heels of the R8 and left it standing still up the start finish straight. It looked like it was in the bag for them after that.

U fool, never said they were Lemans GT1 cars, I know what a gt3 car is, and they are more production based, and are not slow by any means. Yes, there are cars that are much quicker than V8s but they are usually single seaters with wings

Even LM-GT2 would walk all over a V8SC at Bathurst. If cup cars are coming in equal with more weight and less power it stands to reason that parity between them would equal faster times.
no ricer or euro trash will ever get to show them whats up its taken some 20years for the aussie vehicles to catch up to the late 80 early 90 vehicles

All in the application, my mr2 is an excellent rally car but would fail at drag racing. Likewise a cast iron V8 would be horrid at gravel rally but great for drag.
