Mine is a enviromower. Had it for about 4 years and I have only replaced the blades once. Has not used a drop of petrol or oil lol.

there called nexite, yea composite alloy mix of some sort, bloody strong and light and wont rust, damm engines are undestructable and all in all a great machine, the new machines also have a snorkel so you dont suck shit up from down low and a 21" cutting deck, 3 spds,200mm dia ball bearing wheels, they tell me theres a version out with cruise control and is thumb operated with elec start, hells teeth next there will be an attachment for scratching your sacks and lighting your smoke.

Bought a victa 2 stroke steel body 10 yrs ago. Since then it's had the handle pull out like u said from rust about 3 yrs ago. Mower cost 350 originally, and I treated it to new blades and a spark plug boot when I transplanted the motor.New body was about 120 from memory.cheap as chips after 10 yrs regular running.still on the original sparkplug and still starts first/second pull unless I flood it. Only other issue has been circlips holding wheels on rusting out periodically. No way im spending a grand on a lawnmower unless it's self a propelled thick alloy body high powered wide cut jobby.
