I have a problem with dew/condensation covering my car in the mornings, it can be a real bitch when I drive into the sun at 7:00am, gotta stick my head out the side window and peer lol

edit to say the wipers only help a bit

A little white vinegar in water, sprayed over the screen with a wee spray bottle works well too.

You need to heat that bad boy up. Do you run the aircon straight away! With the air con on, the internal air should be getting de-moisturised. all air con systems condense moisture out of the air. That should take care of the internal fogginess. with air con on and on "Heat" the inside of the glass should be warming up. The heat travels through the glass and the outer surface becomes warmer than the outside air instead of colder. That in turn should prevent the condensation on the outside of the glass. If that is not working you may need window heaters all round the bus. I don't believe any coating on the glass would prevent condensation. That is a product of moist air and temperature (dewpoint) alone. Similarly no amount of wiping it off will be effective untill the sun comes out and warms your glass.

Air con on and full heat has always worked in my cars anyway. Hope it works for you.

Another thing you could do if your air con is crappy is have a dehumidifier going in the bus overnight.

While heat works you don't have heat until the engine is upto temp.

How long do you guys find your rainx coating lasts mine does not seam to last that long! Works great for a while then stops and goes quick.

johnf_456, Mar 20, 6:21pm

one coat lasts me 27 years - if yours doesn't you DONT know how to put it on

johnf_456, Mar 20, 6:40pm
I do I do it exactly like the pack says and above, its probably the car wash stuff washing it off I try not get the soap on it. So don't you dare tell me I do not know how to put it on mate! The window is spotless when I apply it so do not jump to conclusion just for "simple asking how long"

Thinking about it probably is still there I have just got use to it and probably wouldnt notice a car without it.

demons, Mar 20, 6:43pm
tui add anyone, shit paint does nt even last that long.

johnf_456, Mar 20, 7:25pm
^ See above, has I to do experience the same issues as you with your first quote. PITA to work with me, online me does not portray real me in real life.

FFS. Stop figthing the symptoms and go for the cause people.
How do you clear your bathroom mirrors! You put heating pads behind them, and extraction fans in the ceiling to remove the damp air.

How do you combat crying windows!
You dry out your house with air con, fires, and dry air ventilation systems.

How do you get dry windows in a bus!
You use the air conditioning to dry out the internal air and you use the demister/heater to heat the screens. The dry air will absorb the moisture right off the screens.

PapaRic, Can you tap into the air con with some extra ducting and blast it down over your screens!

Maybe you need to look at installing an aftermarket air con system into the heater that will give you dry air into the screen demister vents.

I'm not bagging the rain-ex application for rain etc but this thread is about fogging/misting. It really is as simple as preventing moisture condensing out of the internal (and external) air onto the cold glass.

johnf_456, Mar 21, 10:32am
Don;t you dare tell me to chill I asked a simple question for a simple answer but you just go in abuse mode and saying I'm dumb basically because I do not apply it correctly. So do not tell me boy to be carm I don't appreciate been implied I am dumb for not applying it ok when I do the opposite. I just asked a question, has for it lasting 27 years thats just a smart ass reaction I highly doubt it would last that long. SO why post crap that claim its your pork sword. Has I do have the same problem has the opp hence wondering its effectiveness or something else.

ralphdog1, Mar 21, 10:40am
Get over yourself and stop being such a keyboard warrior. If you acted like that in real life you would probably be lacking in front teeth by now. You often contribute well to the discussion with good comments, but really need to examine your fuse length.

mr40cal, Mar 21, 10:40am
ooppss I did it again .

johnf_456, Mar 21, 10:42am
Well I just get annoyed by people who cannot answer a simple question and go on abuse mode for a question. Thank you for the comments, just having one heck of a bad day. Currently trying to track down engine parts at the moment, don't you just love it when you go to start something and nothing turns over.
