OP -PLEASE ignore all the advise given above --clearly none of them have a clue. First Jack the car up. Then undoo the sump plug and drain the remaining oil. Round the sump are about 15 m6 bolts. Undoo those and you will get the sump off. This will expose the crankshaft.Undoo the 8 14 mm bolts holding the crankshaft in place and you should be able to pull the crankshaft and pistons down and remove them. This is the tricky bit. --Reach up into the bores with long nosed pliers and gently undoo the four spark plugs. You will find that number 2 and four are very black which is causeing your problem. Swap number 1 with 2,3 with 4 and put it all back together again. I promise you it will run like a dream once you do this.

That's ok - what you do is remove oil pan and shove it back in the big tube where there is one missing from - reattach pan and she'll be sweet as
Don't forget to duct tape it in place though

It might need a bit of wiggling to get iot out--Might be safer to unbolt the pistons from the crank first if you need to

Sound advice there. I thinkits always worth using a good quality tape as its cheaper and easier than having to do it all over again.

If it's lost 1 piston out of four. it'll be 25% more economical, you could be onto sumpthin there!
