Incorrect as usual from you!
A J port is a J port and a Bridge Port is a Bridge Port! they are not the same just because of the size.

Ok. Good on you.
No my main interest is Nissans like RB's & VQ's and Toyotas like JZ's etc but I also like rotarys.

Sorry ollie but its you that is incorrect, read his statement again. yes a bridge port is a differant port style to what is referred to as a "J" port but his statement was a "monster bridge" was the same as a "J" port which is correct the port beyond the bridge is taken right back into the water jacket

Sorry yourself but no im not incorrect you are, a bridgeport is a frigging bridgeport and a J port is a J port if you breach/mod the seal its a J port for gods sake just because a few kids call there motors monster bridgys it does not open up to a world of rubbish! as said above by jason18 there is no such thing as a monster bridgeport its just a name thats stuck! the size of a bridgeport will allways vary depending on the porter and so does the name of it.

savanna71, Mar 2, 6:00pm
I dont think you quite grasp what im saying a "Bridge port" naturally has a port above the bridge but this port doesnt extend into the water jacket. a "J port" is similar to a "bridge port except the secondary port extends into the water jacket. Some people refer to a "J port" as a "Monster bridge"

Belky never said a "Bridge port" is the same as a "J port",what he said was a "Monster Bridge" is the same as a "J port". Differant name for the same thing

1ollie. god you are a goose sometimes. i know nothing about rotors.but savanna WILL be right.

bellky, Mar 3, 12:51pm
you're a laugh lollie. they are the same, only different in the size of the eyebrow.

bridgeport stays within water seal, monster bridge ported through water seal & notched housings, and j port as big as possible through water seals and big notched housings requiring devcon

stop embarrassing yourself

I know what your saying but I just dont really agree!
And well as you say "some people" which is not me, nor is it many others!
And as for young bleky! well. hes one of those people that are not really worth listening to or taking for real sorry lol.
The way I see it is that in this day & age a very large proportion of Rotary owners/enthusiests that build/buy/own motors that have large size of bridgeport nearly all of them call them "moster bridgeports"! also I believe not alot have ones that are J ported(or monster bridgeported as you say) as its not very easy to do well an keep reliable and thats one of the parts why I believe what I have learnt among other things!
And yeah in the end this is just a discussion about terminology isint it!
