So you never gave way to your right when turning left on a green light when not on a free turn. please stop driving and take the bus.

"It also applies when both vehicles are facing the same control, ie stop signs, give way signs and green traffic lights."
Not all controlled intersections manage all situations. If both cars have same signal what do you think takes over!

No matter what you think this is still a controlled intersection. Check it out just as I did then re-read my post.(Just to assist I will repeat the pertinent passage from it. "In these case the rules including the new rules apply." (my error of plurality)

.then re-read your own entry with the emphasis on the 11th word of it.("It also applies when both vehicles are facing the same control, ie stop signs, give way signs and green traffic lights." )I wasn't arguing with anyone over the correct procedure simply pointing out the difference between a controlled and an uncontrolled intersection

If you read my post you'll see I never said it was an uncontrolled intersection.

Why would you "+1" an incorrect post! Weird.
flybye_in_a_rx7,

whats incorrect about it
tonyrockyhorror,
Mar 28, 5:28am
That it only applied to intersections without any signs or signals.

Why do people think the roundabout rules have changed! THEY HAVENT. Some people are just ummm brainless. No adds or advertising material ever mentioned the blimin roundabout. Honestly.

They mustn't have seen the GIVE WAY signs on the feeder roads. I do wonder why blind people are allowed to drive.
Personally I dissagree with you, I think they did a good job, if they highlighted all the rules it would have confused all these "dumbo" drivers you mention even more. They also shouldnt need to mention about left and right turning cars both turning into a dual lane where each car has a lane to turn into as no rules changed with regard to this. If the right turning car goes into the left insted of the right lane of the dual lane and hits the left turning car then the right turner is at fault allways has been no rules changed there so why confuse the matter. After reading this thread and pi55ing myself laughing, its obvious some "dumbo" drivers out there still cant grasp the changes, if we gave them any more information their brain would start to leak from there ears.

Oh crap another one.
I don't get it, why has THIS topic, out of all the stuff that gets discussed on here, drawn all the dummies out of the wood work!! Freaking me out.
Ok planespotterhvn, which bit of
"The T rule only applied to UNCONTROLLED intersections i.e. NO GIVEWAY or STOP signs and no TRAFFIC LIGHTS."
do you think was correct, and why!
outbidyou2,
Mar 28, 9:26am
from your description he probably made an error and was taking the p*#s
planespotterhvn,
Mar 29, 12:19am
You said it was incorrectwhen it is true that the CHANGE in road rules for the T intersection and the quote Top of the T goes before me only affected uncontrolled T intersections. If the T intersection is controlled by a sign you do the same thing you used to do. Is that clear enough for you! Its unbeleivable how the dummies come out of the woodwork!
smac,
Mar 29, 1:09am
planespotterhvn, I don't know where you get your understanding from, however for these sorts of things I use the governing legislation.
Up until 25th March 2012 the rules around these situations were:
4.2 Giving way where vehicles are controlled by same type of sign or in absence of signs
(1) This clause applies if ??
planespotterhvn,
Mar 29, 2:56am
Yeah right.i mean yeah left. Semantics.
planespotterhvn,
Mar 29, 10:52pm
That simplifies the process for the sheeple (not). Ok generally apart from that one T intersection that has three give way signs there will generally one stop sign, or one give way sign or no sign at all on the terminating road. The change (which doesnt affect T intersectiond with terminating roads with signs as you have always had to give way) affects the give way priority on an uncontroled T Intersection and now that you bring it up a T intersection where all three signs are the same. Hallelujah!

Earlier today I was approaching Corban Ave to turn right from Valley Rd and a car was coming the other way to turn left into Corban. He stopped and gave way to the two cars in front of me as per the old rule and they promptly turned right in front of him as if nothing had changed. Headslap.

Everyone should re-sit their licence. With so much debate over something so simple it's obvious most drivers are in need of some brain stimulation!
