Tonyrockyhorror are you there! am I correct in saying that if one happens to get clamped it then becomes your property! I am only asking because that happened to a friend of mine. He got clamped from the property he was parked on. He then took the clamp off himself. The property owners asked for the clamp back and he said to them "that will be $69.00 thank you." and they left him alone and no more was said.

It doesn't become your property. But if they refuse to detach it, you may. Or you can take your car away, with it still attached then tell them where they can pick it up. But you must not keep it as that is theft.

I guess you could certainly attempt charge for the cost of the removal of the clamp since they, as the persons entitled to lawful possession never took possession when it was offered. However, just like they would, you'd have to prove the debt.
