I guarantee it would be too (having owned/driven both). Its pretty impressive a standard 13B puts out pretty much comparable KW to the old185KW 5litre. Though the cars the engines sit in are hardly comparable in size or weight and good luck towing your boat with your 13B.

From you saying 6 second is slow shows that you clearly have no real idea or insight into the matter and all your doing is comparing something with millions of dollars spent on it in another contry to something which would come in well under the 150k mark in NZ.
Also where did anyone seriously say that rotarys are the fastest thing in the world or can not be beaten by any V8!
You are a stupid chump end of story you boynuts flea.

1ollie, Apr 18, 9:15am
What rotary isint as fast as what V8!
And yes you are a faggot and we have sat back and watched you talk nothing but crap!

1ollie, Apr 18, 9:16am
Notice how scotty chump boynuts basicly ignored this one!

1ollie, Apr 18, 9:26am
Hey your back lol I see you didint reply earlyer after you were made a fool of again haha.
So a factory 1.3L V8 can make more power than a factory 13B rotary! is that what your saying! lol

1ollie, Apr 18, 9:27am
Contradiction! or just more rubbish!yeah its rubbish

bellky, Apr 18, 9:29am
Such a fiesty wee critta.

1ollie, Apr 18, 9:48am
Are ya

foxdonut, Apr 18, 10:16am
Coming from someone who purports to be able to built the worlds fastest car out of half a million and a used skyline, nothing you have to say in this forum is really worth listening to.

You should go see a doctor, there might be some meds you can take for your Dunning Krueger Syndrome - worth looking into, they'd help you A LOT.

smac, Apr 18, 11:04am
I see you're reading my posts

un_known, Apr 18, 11:59am
lol if ya had half a million dollars to build the worlds fastest car you would be an idiot to pick a skyline. They have far too much drag to reach a decent top speedand theres much better engines to choose from than the RBs.either way your pissing into the wind i doubt even a half million dollar skyline can beat some of the current production car top speed record holders, let alone land speed record contenders.

foxdonut, Apr 18, 12:20pm
In his defence, he was planning on "spending 100k on the engine" and "giving it to someone in Japan to design the aero for the rest".

'Cept he forgot that 260+mph cars need a wheel and tire package exceeding 200k NZD for a dual pass at Ehra Liesson and hadn't even budgeted shipping it over there.

Still, it could totally be done in a 20 year old frame and a bunch of HKS branded ebay parts from NZRicer Magazine, right LOLie!

Try the Ford Zetec mate, they're suitable for transfers to RWD & gearboxes that bolt straight up.Ford 9, Capri etc

1ollie, Apr 18, 1:19pm
Hahaha your pathetic! is that all that you think you have on me! something i said like a year ago! lol crack up! also your changing the facts to! it was not the fastest car in the world it was about beating the Veyron and I still stand by what I said and mean it! funding well thats a laughing matter as of course no ones going to pay for me to do it and so what!

1ollie, Apr 18, 1:22pm
No ones ever claimed that hes just making up parts of storys to try look like he knows something.
It was a discussion about weather a Skyline could be made to go faster than a Veyron which is apparently the worlds fastest production car lol if you could even call it a production car really.

1ollie, Apr 18, 1:23pm
And wheres the 300hp N/A 4AGE you claim exists! haha

spead, Apr 18, 1:30pm
Ive had one 20 years and its still going strong.

bellky, Apr 18, 1:33pm
Tell more please.

foxdonut, Apr 18, 1:35pm
This is where you're wrong, you assume I care. You're a loser, you're nothing to me.

Get over yourself.

1ollie, Apr 18, 1:42pm

Hey I am sure it is possible. though it will be dropping bearings and about as reliable as a meth addicted whore. but it still would be possible, if not desirable.

Either way, my personal experience is that a rotary tends to be a lot of fun and pretty quick, but ultimately unreliable if you need to get from A to B with no issues. But then, older V8's (253-308 I am looking at you) have not proven to be the most reliable or low maintenance engines either.
However, I have to say my LS1 has been faultlessly reliable, is relatively powerful and I love the sound of the thing - so for me, this V8 wins hands down after years of owning powerful but ultimately nightmare cars.

1ollie, Apr 18, 6:46pm
Yeah probably could be done with methanol fuel, 15:1 CR sorta stuff, mega $ head and block filled with more mega $ custom parts but I sure as hell wouldint do it and I dout anyone elce would as its a shit load of time, work and money for what really! and yeah if it cant stay together for a decent amount of time it never really existed did it! haha
