How do you KNOW hes being dishonest! do you personally know this car!

tonyrockyhorror, May 4, 8:21am
I know what he was told about it. and the questions he's specifically avoiding.

bootylicious5, May 4, 8:24am
I would do as above. He may not be dishonest, it may just be a case of having fixed all the initial problems. I would of asked him straight before posting this thread stating he is dishonest!

kazbanz, May 4, 9:46am
how do you know he's avioiding questions! --not everyone is on TM 24/7

christhebuild3r, May 4, 10:01am

Low ks! How many ks has it done in Japan do you think!

kcf, May 4, 11:54am
If it's a $2500 or so car, that seems a pretty reasonable asking price considering the relatively low k's, and minor stuff mentioned in the earlier auction.

Back when I worked for a rental car company donkeys years back we had a whole bunch of those cars. They were utterly gutless things, but as best I can recall the only things we had fail on any of ours was electric window master switches, the resistor in the air con switch, and invariably the electric aerial chucked it's toys.Mechanically though they were tough as old boots.Rivalled the Corolla's for just going and going and going (and beat them for the auto trans holding together).

There is so much of this crap with buyersmoaning about condition of carsforsale, they are free to inspect it & drive it . .Best the seller says nothing that way cant beheld responsible forfaultscaveat emptor .Dont have to buy it

phillip.weston, May 4, 1:42pm
No but it's a cost that you would have had to pay yourself anyway had you won the original auction. Also don't forget that cars in Auckland and Wellington are generally worth more than Christchurch, especially after the earthquake as people down there have more important things to spend their money on than cars, so most have taken a large hit on value.

Problem solved=it's sold

madeley, May 4, 1:58pm
Dishonest yep.
Interesting I found this after enquiring about this vehicle.

1.Seller has stated they have put 600kms of travel on clock each week - first lie as in a month it has put 500kms total on clock.
2.Seller has now sold car, flouting Trade Me rules for auctions.
3.Seller unlikely to have done those repairs.

My issue is not with someone making a buck; good on him; issue is with dishonesty in the process.
