You seem to believe nobody can see your 'enlightened' point. But I have been trying to point out to you that you have made a very broad statement based on one single vehicle collision you saw on tv. If we are to take your opinion seriously, then you will need to back up your conclusion with more than that one single mv collision you just plucked from tv. If this fact has no merit to you, then I'm afraid it is you who is brain dead.

Personally, i don't care what the lying little snot got. Cop was mainly angry that the guy was rude to his own mother.
However, i was astounded that the truck driver got such a wet bus ticket slap. What if the sandwiched lady had been in a different car and actaully been decapitated! What if she HAD had a heart attack as a result of the accident! Would that have somehow changed the truck drivers actions! - No, but he could well have been up for the Aussie equivalent of careless driving causing death. Stupid system.

Guys in reality you are argueing 2 different angles-what DIDhappen VS what coulda happened. 1) a trucky was following too close and caused minor injury it would apear for the first time given the fine and he kept his licence etc/a kid has had repeated the same offences many times (according to the commentary)
2) the trucky coulda killed the lady /The kid could carry on the same way untill he kills someone because of his unsafe vehicle.

I don't think anyone's saying the kid shouldn't comply or be made to Kaz.

I didn't see it, but reading your comments, it appears that one gets a fixed fine for a specific offence. The other has been avoiding the legal requirements for a considerable length of time and avoiding the payments (multiple offences) which could well amount to well more than the single offence.Or I have I got it wrong!
Both are obviously guilty but it is no different to NZ.
I had a written warning of a $500 fine for using Euro legal manufactured plates.Every day, I read of people breaking various laws that can and do result in injury or worse, getting hit for far less than $500.

Sorry dude my point was thatwhat did happen needs to be seperated from what coulda happened. first offence V multiple repeats of the same offence.

Why is everyone getting upset about an Aussie tv programme, it has no effect on NZ

You know what, it's much easier to just follow the rules and play by them, and remember, it's only illegal if you get caught. That younger kid tried to do just that and paid the price, so now he has to man up and take it. Maybe you should try being nicer next time you get pulled over; remember, cops are people too, no matter how much you would hate to include them in the same gene pool. Get that massive chip off your shoulder and do something good with your life. Hate is baggage man!
