Can a cop give u a ticket for speeding without locking it on their radar!Cop reckoned was doing 95 in a 80 but I checked my speed as I was puttin on seatbelt wen I seen the cop and was doing 85 asked to see radar and she said it wasn't locked on

Doesn't need radar. can use reading from Police car speedo - which will have been regularly calibrated.Next question. can she give you a ticket for not wearing a seat belt. even if you have done it up by the time she stops you!Yep, she can.Anything else we can help you with tonight!

Well that sucks she said she will send it to me so will see what happens, still going to dispute it as pretty sure I wasn't speeding but at end of day suppose it my word against theirs, I think she seen a lowered commodore coming up road so pulled me just to see if it was legit wen found out it was got bummed out an had to do me for sumthing, not too worried bout the fine it just the demerits I don't want not to sure how many I got left only had a couple of tickets in last few years so sould be good I hope

Lol yep suppose gotta work smarter not harder lol, and as for the belt used to always wear it but working on a dairy farm using ute to do things on farm so stopped using belt in ute as was always in and out of it all day now just forget to put on wen I drive my everyday car it a shocking habit need to make it back to being the first thing I do when driving to town

They can give you a ticket for anything they like, regardless of whether you've actually done it or not, and it's up to you to find a way to prove they're lying.

Don't know about you, but I tend to ease up on the gas when I see a plod car - even if I'm not speeding.
