gunhand, May 20, 3:38pm
You got twins!Boy girl twins down here. but only 7 so a few years from the worry of wrecking what car I may have at that time.

attitudedesignz, May 20, 3:44pm
Yeah mate, 19 year old boys. And it doesn't look like they're EVER gonna leave home, i think they've got it too easy lol.

gunhand, May 20, 3:48pm
Yep that generation has cottoned on to what a good thing they actually have at home LOL. Jeez we wanted to be gone at 15 almost.

thejazzpianoma, May 20, 3:50pm
Sorry to post and delete, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't putting you crook.

Not meaning to put a dampner on your bargain but given the above if safety is a concern that model was about the worst car you could buy at the time in terms of safety.

You could always cash in, make a profit and re-invest if it worried you. Otherwise, sweet score!

attitudedesignz, May 20, 3:52pm
Aint that the truth.on both counts haha.

sonns79, May 20, 3:55pm
You give me hope lol Tryin to pick up a cheapie here thats not gonna be a lemon.Good on you its a nice car

johnf_456, May 20, 3:55pm

grangies, May 20, 4:11pm

mugenb20b, May 20, 4:20pm
Proof!

icemans1, May 20, 4:27pm
my first car was a simca 1000 - the only 'safety' thing on it was 2 diagonal seat belts in the front

icemans1, May 20, 4:29pm
OP, good score seeing as it's got a new WOF

johnf_456, May 20, 4:32pm
Can't stay wrapped in this cotton wool forever, perhaps you need to buy a crash helmet and roll cage as well.

That is a great bargain, anything is safer than young lads that are into 2 wheeled missiles on the road.

aragorn2003, May 20, 4:32pm
spot the wet blanket

attitudedesignz, May 20, 4:34pm
And you've found ya sense of humour haha

phillip.weston, May 20, 4:42pm
I'm sure a 14 year old Hyundai would be better than a 24 year old Japanese or European car for the same money. I think the Hyundai would at least have ABS brakes and a drivers air bag.

phillip.weston, May 20, 4:44pm
The Lantra of that shape gets a 3 star ANCAP rating, about the same as most of the other economy cars of that era.

pebbles61, May 20, 4:49pm
Air bags are for girls =D

mugenb20b, May 20, 5:00pm
I'd rather be in a Hyundai after watching those 2 videos.

cowboy110, May 20, 5:09pm
Oh for gods sake ( I was gonna say FFS but apparently you get into trouble for that so I won't) It's a 1998 $300 car for the boys to learn to drive in. ANCAP!Airbags!ABS!I'm sure the twins are just happy to have a car.Good score attitudedesignz.

ryanm2, May 20, 5:13pm
Im just hoping his boys have girlfriends already . They may have trouble attracting, or keeping tail in a 98 Lantra.

gunhand, May 20, 5:16pm
Ill assume thats a joke. But any woman who judges a man by his car is not worth keeping anyway.Mind you if said car was a rollingrubbish pit Id judge that but I think you know what I mean.
