Have the tyres been rotated at all! US forums refer to "road force variation" testing to identify tyre problems that don't show on standard balancers. Does anyone do that here!

If I buy a vehicle light bulb and it is 12 volt, then take it home and run 24 volts through it and it blows, can I take it back and demand my money back! The item was sold to me to perform a certain duty, if I then chose to use the item outside of the peramiters of that duty, surely I have no come back at all.
I would think that a vehicle sold with rego and wof, and no specification by the buyer that the vehicle was going to be used outside the normal, legal expected range of duty (in this case 100kph), the fact that it does odd things outside that range is of no concern or responsability of the seller.

just thought it may be a beema , the center spacer rings can drop out at wheel change and cause havok

But the wheel nuts (bolts if BMW) are tapered which should in theory centralize the wheels to the hubs. However, if the wheels are mounted off centre, I think the vibration should show up a lot sooner than 140km/h.
Kaz, what kind of car are we talking about!

The car in question is a nissan skyline 2.5. I "THINK" we've found the issue. The front disks were replaced with a set of brand new ones on arrival in NZ . The left disk had .2mm (yep zero point two) runout.

Yeah put it on a Dyno, they're only about $100 compared to $300 for track testing.where you might kill yourself!

My prelude was tuned at pukekohe race track doing full passes down the back straight holding steady load at different points for just a few dollars. Was cheaper than a dyno, way more fun to.
