Umm yeah. Completely missed the point.

+1 Have to say it's all about attitude; if you get out of your car with a chip on your shoulder you'll end up with someting to complain about.I've been getting away with more than I should for years by simply being polite and friendly to cops, it works.

come on then offrd,im keen for it.

Just like ticketing people at 1km/h over the limit is in the name of "road safety".

Crap, this doesn't happen, never has never will.
Stick to facts mate, your cop issues are making you look dumb.

B/S, sonny.

I was given a ticket for 117KPH, .

.

.

.

.

I was at the BACK of a queue of cars that were doing 100KPH

.

How can you argue FOR that/against that !

Once agian more people stressed over there rights being infringed. Oddly its only when you break the rules of the land.
3 suggestions.
Do your best to stick with in the rules. I know when Im breaking them so how come no one else seems to!
Get into Politics or join the Police and change it from within.
Or the best idea. Go somewhere like Johannesburg and strut your civil rights there for awhile, let ya hair down and do what you want, they dont care to much.
Odds are youll end up dead in one of the lovely ways they like taking you out.
Or stay in bad arse NZ and think your hard done by when your pinged for 10kph over the limit. Or is it 1kph now!
And you would be surprised how many people get away withthings when pulled over, but you never here of that very often on here.

modie61, Jun 15, 4:29pm
Nice gun.

You are on.would love to,i do assessing for our company.wish a few more people had this attitude .they may learn something and may not be so critical when they learn they are no better than anyone else

gregelz, Jun 15, 5:38pm
Another reason to do away with vehicle licensing and collect the fee with a fuel component, cops wont have to chase you up and you cant drive your car without paying it !

modie61, Jun 15, 6:07pm
Ive been assesed 3 times in the last 3 months in my line of work and come out very well thank you offrd. Still no place to be complaicent on the road as you would know.

cjdnzl, Jun 15, 6:11pm
Then they would get you for not illuminating the damned plate at night.

akaniva, Jun 15, 6:13pm
Exactly. Read what is happening in the UK now total big brother surveillance of all emails, internet history, EVERYTHING.

gunhand, Jun 15, 6:20pm
Well with people crashing planes into large buildings and such happenings do you not ask yourself why!. Would you rather they try and sort the riff raff out or just let that kinda thing happen. Do you know how many have been caught before acting by these kind of survailance tactics!.Or would you rather nutters blow people up then complain that "the government" isnt doin enough and its there fault.
Only people with things to hide have a problem. Hey if somone wants to look in my computer good on them, they will be disapionted.

offrd1, Jun 15, 6:25pm
LOL.yes you are 100% right.we also get assessed, and we also on our T.A.M.S system have a daily assessment.I am very proud to say our drivers are the top for the whole country[ for Fonterra ]

00basil00, Jun 15, 7:00pm
Why bother giving tickets for rego no being up to date!, there is no way out of paying it, seems like a waste of paper

smac, Jun 15, 7:15pm
same could be said for tax.should there be no prosecution of tax dodgers! of power bill! nah don't worry about them. Phone! Pfft, no worries.

mothergoose_nz, Jun 15, 7:20pm
this has been outside my place.it is quite a set up.they have to have cops down the end both ways a distance from the van. by the time you have passed the van they know if you need picking up.it is very quick technology.just be glad it isnt in the patrol cars as it is in britain

xs1100, Jun 15, 7:38pm
normally because the master criminals have the whole legal aid spread out before them and know the ins and outs.were as the normal joe just sucks it up and pays the fine without too much hassel and i agree there is a time to say "sorry officer not this time"

Whilst on the subject of motorcycles, did anyone see road cops on Wednesday night. It must have been PR night as the copper decided against issuing a ticket to a motorcyclist that he had snapped fair and square at 100k's thru a temp road works restriction. The motorcyclist even admitted that he was on the edge points wise at 85 points suggesting that he possibly has a bit of a habit of disregarding speed limits now and then, well done the copper for believing the chaps spiel and showing a whisker of compassion.

Still on the subject of motorcycling, when and if you are out there on the roads, keep an eye out for trees lol
