Your thread is: How to lower your alcohol breath levels. You say it's a bit of banter.I think such threads as these are an absolute waste of time.By not speaking out with the person who told you this stuff, you ARE condoning it no matter how much you protest that you are not.And then to start such a thread and to call it banter and that you don't condone it is unwise, immature and darn right foolish, frankly. It's offensive.Next time, be politically incorrect and stand for what's right, politely, but clearly.

You can be nearly twice over the legal limit in Australia, but still legally under the limit in NZ.Just saying.

Ive been told that taking gaviscon after drinking makes your breath tests give negative results no matter how much your drinking.
My mate saw his friend prove it with his pocket breathalyser.

Blew through it after a drink and failed, then he took a gaviscon and it passed.

You should return to your village sooner rather than later.
and remain there so you don't kill anyone.

the-lada-dude, Jun 9, 5:56am

johnf_456, Jun 9, 6:27am
I see self control is lacking once again

realtrader1, Jun 9, 8:27am
It's obvious what the thread is about. If you get caught drink driving, here's a way to dodge a fine, loss of licence etc.Think about it.If you do the crime you should do the time. All this talk of a way around prosecution etc is, if you think about it, encouraging people to be lax about the whole drink drive thing.Who agrees!

nightboss, Jun 9, 10:14am
Drink or Drive = no loss of licence.
Drink and Drive = consequences you chose.

Some of you lot should be in the parenting thread ,, as you have no interest in motoring. If we wanted policemen we would try a police station.

johnf_456, Jun 9, 10:47am
Do you support driving drunk and people trying to get away with it! While putting everyones safety at risk including your family and yours.

Ah! he who is without sin can cast the first stone. I wonder how many of the non drinking people on this thread have never had a couple before jumping in their car and driving home, cos it's just down the road or "iv'e only had one drink". Heck I have three beers on a friday after work and drive. I have been breathalized and blew 240. One glass of wine with dinner at a restaurant will not put me over the limit.

tonyrockyhorror, Jun 10, 12:31pm
The whole premise of breath alcohol level being a reliable measure of impairment for the purpose of driving is flawed.

I used to regularly "have a few" then drive home, sometimes I did not even remember having driven home.
That stopped 19 years, 8 months and 28 days ago. The day my brother in law was killed by a drunk driver while on his way to work. Now if my car keys are in my pocket I am sober.

nightboss, Jun 10, 8:31pm
Correct - so the only 100% accurate breath test result is a zero one.
Drink - or - Drive - you choose.
