Yea maybe, but i did get a chance to look in re view mirror to see if they had you know put them on high. but no such luck. I do not like driving long distance at night and especially on a Saturday.

HID light blindness, especially if you drive a cheap jap box which has halogen high beam and HID low beam.
Bright HID area from 60 to 80 meters is so bright that high beam is almost useless as your eyesight adjusts to bright area right in front of your car.
Same effect as thinking that using fog lights would make you see better in dark. Well, it does if you are interested too see well only objects about 40 meters front of your car.

Even claiming that high beam is not needed is just shocking. How did you people get your drivers licenses and have you ever driven outside city limits!

Never claimed it was not needed, just that I have found I need it less as vehicle lighting has improved.

Amen to that- Those signs can be a bit overwhelming with all the glare/reflected light they create.
