What is the best and worst

Hrmm tough one.

Best car I think would have to be one of the VR-4s I've had, either my current '91 (always puts a smile on my face) or my '96 one I sold just before leaving to go to Australia. Honourable mention would be my MkIII Golf VR6 5spd.

Worst. hrmm. as above probably my SV21 Camry sedan. 340,000kms and utterly reliable but also utterly boring to drive. Close runner up would be my '96 Impreza 1.5 - even though it was 5spd and FWD only it was still horribly slow and still boring to drive.

Best: my 2010 camaro.
Worst: 1980 jaguar V12.
The only good news was I bought the Jag for $2000 and sold it for $4750.

sas777, Jun 30, 2:50pm
Best:1980 BMW 323i. Looked good, sounded great, drove even better. And I don't care if some posters on here hate Beemers with a vengeance, it was perfectly reliable and never let me down. UK insurance was something else though.

Worst: 1988 Nissan Bluebird sedan, in green inside and out. Brings to mind John Cleese's remarks after visiting Palmy."If you want to kill yourself but don't have the bottle, this might just do the trick!"

mileyfan73, Jun 30, 3:33pm
Best;2005 BA Falcon Xr6 ute, drove like it was on rails, awesome vehicle, though in vomit yellow wasn't the best looker.
Worst:1987 Holden Camira,0-100 in 2 hours and twenty minutes.Dull as dishwater. The rear spoiler was a totally superfluous extra.

richard112, Jun 30, 6:40pm
Best: MG A 1600 (red of course)
Worst: Austin Westminster (A95) All the handling of a wet sponge.
(I'm seriously old. Sorry.)

worst mitsi L300 van

matarautrader, Jul 1, 9:59am
Best Datsun 1200SSS, worst XA wagon

200sx, Jul 1, 2:28pm
Best - 2000 Mercedes E55 AMG. Still regret selling that one (sold it for a Clubsport). Devastating open road performance and handling, and a beautiful interior.
Worst - 1970 Morris 1100. My first car as a 16 year old. But in perspective it was my first car and I got 6 months out of it before having any issues, so can't complain too much!

Tough one.Difficult to define best as I have owned the modern Cooper S for almost ten years - but I don't drive the wheels off it; the race GT for 21 years - and I do drive the wheels off it; but I suppose my first well modified 850cc Mini was the one with the fondest memories as pedal to the metal driving on long journeys, often at night, on UK's B roads, was always exciting.
Worst! An 850cc Mini bought in the wet at night when I had to get a replacement car quickly, that I just had to get rid of a week later as I once I had a good look under it in daylight, I had the gut feeling it was going to be a real dog.

poppajn, Jul 1, 6:18pm
Worst,1961 PAX Vauxhall Velox followed very closely by a ,97 Nissan Terrano.
BestHonda Torneo SIR, which I still have.

tandj3, Jul 1, 6:39pm
Worst, 88 mitsubishi galant, (not my choice to buy I might add), got rid of that in a hurry, loved my 1970 beetle, but the best is my Audi turbo Manual love it.

mapman, Jul 1, 6:59pm
After being a Courier for years the only car you could say as the best is a Toyota Corolla. They just kept on going. 1.3L Wagon or a 1.6L Wagon it does matter. I did have a slip up and brought a Ford Telstar and it could not handle the mileage or interior abuse at all. It kind of fell apart around me. It just beats a useless Mazda 323 I had. Apart from the the best was a Z28 with a 406 and the worse was a hand me down Morris Marina from my old mum that I swapped for a diamond ring for the misses within the same week.

00quattro00, Jul 1, 7:31pm
My best was my mk2 golf gti 16v, worst was a honda integra, just a total pos to drive and had to rev the shit out of it to get anywhere

modie61, Jul 1, 7:38pm
Best = Fiat Abarth 130TC.
Worst = probably Alfa 156 Seles.

bowla3, Jul 1, 7:50pm
I'm probably a bit older than most on here.
The worst would be a toss up between a 1935 Ford V8. Could go like a bat out of hell, but brakes were virtually non existant and a 1936 Morris 8 Van. It would go , but very slowly. To stop was easy, just take the foot of the go pedal.
The best, 1987 Holden VL Calais. Only sold it cause I needed a 4wd.

next-to-normal, Jul 1, 10:27pm
best -my old 1957 mk 7m jag
worst 1978 triumph 2500and 1978 commer van equal 1st
workhorse my 1990 isuzu elf route van 4jb1

canajanz1, Jul 5, 8:13am
The best car for road holding , power, and balance was a 1972 Toyota Celica 2L
The best family car for guts and economy, toys, all round value was a Golf TDi . got 77mpg on teh highway . went all the way from Germany to Nottingham including a 3 day stop in London on one tank
Smile rating . maybe the 1962 VW Beetle . or the 63 MG!

kcf, Jul 5, 8:18am
Best would be my Corolla race car.Slow, but vastly amusing on corners.

Worst, would be the Fiat Uno I had for six months.Water leaked in, electrics committed suicide, handled like rubbish, interior fell apart.

steve56467, Jul 5, 5:19pm
Worst, 3 series I had a few years back. All round lack of quality interior, if it didnt fall apart it had probably stopped working. No probs with body, nice solid doors. Motor only good for a boat anchor. Best argument I've seen for japanese.

Best, RSK B4 legacy, perfomance, handling, comfort, safety. Got it all in bucket loads. It's not a ute is the only drawback.

thejazzpianoma, Jul 5, 5:36pm
Because of the selespeed or some other reason!
