My mother was driving our car to my brothers place and looks like the driveshaft of something has broken bolts and oil all over the driveway. We just had the brakes machined and sway bar boots replaced. IF it was faulty wouldnt the garage have pick it up as its the same side we had all the work done on it.

what sort of car .frontwheel drive.rear wheel drive.never seen a driveshaft .break. unless big horsepower and lead foot.When you say sway bar boots.do you mean C.V boots!

Appartently its the driveshaft bar has broken. and It only got a warrant a few weeks ago where they machined the brakes and replaced the sway bar boot on that same sice. but they failed to pick up the faulty suspension. its a Honda Odyssey.

The bushes where replaced and brakes done a few weeks ago to get the warrant. Today the suspension bar has broken. the AA guy said it should have failed its warrant but it didnt. If they were working in the same area arent they suppose to pick it up!

Is this an axle or a drive shaft. Axle goes across the car, drive shaft front to back. if it is an axle that has broken then that's normal, they just break.

They can break suddenly without warning.Often cant be detected by naked eye until broken.No good trying to blame anyone that recently worked on it or gave it the last WOF.One of those things that happen.Fix it and move on.

No as they are at fault due to not picking it up during the warrant and they fixed the bushes so should have by right noticed it

The AA guy said its the suspension bar had brokenand it shouldof been picked up during the warrant that was done a few weeks ago. The sway bar bushes were replaced a few weeks ago on the same side that is now broken. The mechanic who did the warrant and repairs should have noticed it was faulty. that is what i am saying.

"bolts and oil all over the driveway"Its an Odysey.I'm not an Odysey expert but what on earth could deposit "bolts and oil" on the drive by breaking.If it broke an axel it wont drop bolts.Likewise a shock.Maybe this mystery "suspension bar" is an oil filled bolt!then agin maybe just becaise its "Odd i say".
