Oh boy. This has to be one of the vaguest threads ever.
Metal has a nasty habit of just snapping and unless it is crack tested, you have no idea of finding faults in advance and I don't care how experienced a mechanic is. Without X-Ray vision, you wouldn't havea clue.Until you can identify exactly what the component is, don't expect a realistic reply to the original post.

Rack end maybe and pulled out of the rack boot! Not good if thats what the problem is, as it should have been picked up in the WOF check.
Who really knows with the confusing lack of information though.

Oh FFS, it's proberly a POS, it was going to happen, owner trying to blame the workshop for it, bet you owner doesn't regularly service vehicle but trying to blame garage for failure, just suck it up and get it fixed.

Wheee --a nice lil murder (the cars been murdered) mystery. The clues are --Bolts n stuff and oil dumped on driveway. Hmmm --the bolts being there suggests sudden failure of several "bolts" at the same time.-- Oil rules out suspension bushes Mr holmes step forward please

Could it be its a four wheel drive odyssey. The drive shaft bolts sheared and the shaft into the gearbox popped out dumping gearbox oil! Has a CV joint failed in a big way dumping its guts onto the ground.! Has a shock tower broken up ! Have the brake caliper bolts worked totally loose and dropped on the ground and brake fluid ios everywhere! Has some mysterious 'suspention part ripped loose puncturing the sump! Ohh the suspense is killing me--which is it!

What about the bolts!
40wav,
Jul 4, 4:56pm
Could it be a front torsion bar (suspension) has snapped and poked a hole in the sump (oil) and the inner end of the bar has fallen out onto the driveway ('bolts')! Do these have torsion bar suspension!

Come on you guys. It's obvious someone has helped themselves to some spare parts.

No torsion bars in Honda Odyssies.

Strange how it got all the way to the driveway and then decided to let go! I think its the whatsit which was attached to the thingy which was only fitted on pink cars on every 33rd first full moon of the zambian calendar which has then been fitted upside down and inside out to the left of the right of the centre of the driveshaft which is not there on the aft side of the front middle oil drum whatyamacallit.Everyone agree!

You are all useless and making the OP feel inadequate with your somewhat callous comments . I think its time to call someone more 'in tune' with, and more sympathetic to the OP's concerns . hornnett! Where are you!!

Whats the bet its sacked out on da bumpys and its stressed and broken the suspension arm, the result being a driveshaft punched inwards cracking the gearbox.Or it could just be f#*ked

Ok its the garages fault who did the original work, take it back and they will replace the whole car free of charge.I cannot believe that these so call professionals cant even fix a car when its in their workshop, this is why i do all my diagnostics/repairs over the phone. The add bonus is its hard to get blamed for leaving bolts loose.
