O/T - rusty nail heads in timber

Mate, you have been making a lot of sense, but these 75mm hinges are odd and I can't match them with anything but junk. I figure it would be 20 hours of (uncomfortable) workto chisel the frames and sashes to suit a different hinge, so I will price up some custom brass hinges in the next few weeks

did out permafill rustprime with crc zink or similer and use linseed oil putty to fill nail holes. the system you have used is water on rust

I've bought 75x50s from Unique Hardware and the screw holes match the usual Ajax zinc plated 75x50/3x2 style. 3 holes per leaf.

I've got brass hinges at the beach. They also seize up.
