Ok so we all know that Holden Rodeo utes are made by Isuzu so I was wondering if anyone who owns one has compared the prices between the 2 vehicles! Same ute just differnt bumper and panels so most engine parts are common, surely Isuzu would be WWAAYY cheaper, anyone know! Maby someone has done this with other vehicles that are made by another manufacturer and sold under another brand!

Radiator top hose failed on a european car - dealer quoted silly money that sounded like it was developed by NASA - went to Repco instead & simply matched the same shape hose & bends for less than a dozen of beers. almost went to the wreckers but thought I can't be that much of a scrooge!

they will more than likely trade out as another company has purchased them

Holy crap cowboy thats a rip!
I know the Holden dealer here gets away with it because I pretty much have to use them as part of my mechanical insurance. To be fair there are other places I am sure I could use but they have to be 'approved' by the insurer. The only problem I have had was a fuel pump dying that cost just under $800 to fix! Thankfully, I only paid $200 excess and $80 for a filter as they would not cover that.

We know a mechanic in Auckland, who orders all his Toyota parts through a small town rural Toyota agent about 250kms away.
It works out cheaper than from the big city Toyota dealers.
