Yep, the point I want to make is that friendly.prawn is carrying on as per usual. The fact is I wasn't aware of the thread you allude to, and didn't post in this one untill friendly.prawn dragged me into it.

So far so good.
$615 later
Surfs running better & seems cheaper to run.
Was a bit pointless running it up to 3000 revs (& a struggle) before, now it's happy & got a bit of power to push up to about 4000 revs.
Used to rattle a lot in the last 6 months when pushing past 2500 revs but now is smooth.
Seems cheaper to run but not done "the trip" empty yet.
Been down to Rotorua for a few days with a truck full of tools & a small empty trailer.
Come back with the tools & a 36" CRT tv on the trailer, looks to have used the same amount of gas for that trip as itdid last month empty. so thats a plus.

Only thing to sort out urgently is the cold start, it used to be a good weight on the starter & started in about 1 turn.
Now it trys to jump off the starter gear & takes 2 or 3 turns, (chatters)
Could that be because of the mechanic advancing the pump a bit from original.

Me very happy with "Tonys Tyre Service" in Hamilton

Thats 3 flat tyres fixed & rebalanced for free, free coffee & all done on the spot in the last 2 months
