Do a satellite view on 115 Mardon Road in Hamilton. Can't see much from the road but rumour has it there is at least 60 cars on that property, mostly Jaguars.

motorboy2011, Jul 24, 10:58pm
much like the field full of cars behind 612 Marshland Rd, Canterbury. Cant see much from the road

rovercitroen, Jul 24, 11:00pm
Holy S.t!

motorboy2011, Jul 24, 11:07pm
Its a strange one, I think they belong to whoever lives at 612. the odd thing is there is a new house on the 612 section (above white roofed shed in google sat view) thats never been lived in, they live in a house among the trees below the white roofed shed. old hr30 skyline and the likes parked outside the house they live in

The fights there were the stuff of legend.

lordv81, Jul 24, 11:25pm
Thats just around the corner from me.Yep he has a shit load of jags and a few other newer cars.Never been in to talk to him as I cant stand jags. But I have counted 15-20 jags at on point just driving past slowly. He used to have heaps of them park along the road and grass verge but the council must have said something.

friendly_prawn, Jul 24, 11:50pm
Holyyyyyyyyyy one can only imagine the treasures to be found amoungst that lot.

motorboy2011, Jul 24, 11:58pm
my mates into photography, im half tempted to rock up to the house with him and see if we can spend an hour in there taking pictures, there are some good car graveyard sites on the net

lordv81, Jul 25, 12:01am
Anybody remeber the Bambina guy that was in Mt Roskill!dozens of them in the mid 90s in a lock up yard not far off the highwayHe was meant to have another two properties full of more bambinas. They were crammed in there door to door, there used to be a Commodore engine speacialist at the end of the shared commercial driveway.

friendly_prawn, Jul 25, 12:03am
Please do it mate. I know we would all love to see the pics.
You can bet if you posted them in hereyou would certainly have the attention of every one in this forum.

We all love a good barn find story.

friendly_prawn, Jul 25, 12:06am
I know of a 67 Ford Fairmont with factory 289 and 80,000 miles on the clock sitting in a shed. Been there for years. Although paint abit faded etc, , all original, including the paint job.

motorboy2011, Jul 25, 12:16am
I have another one, not a car though, a whole house! It was built new in the 70s-80s. Google maps "Maidstone road, christchurch", on satellite view it's the house between 206 and 198, on street view its the one with the bus stop out front. I used to sit on the fence waiting for the bus. It NEVER been lived in, the windows still have stickers on them. Story I heard from an old lady that also used the same bus stop was that the guy who built it was hurt/paralyzed just before it was finished being built, and he refused to accept he would never be able to move in, so there it has sat. I sat on the fence most days for almost 6 months before I was told the story, prob heaps of houses out there like that with interesting story's behind them.

friendly_prawn, Jul 25, 12:32am
Good one to post in real estate. That would start an intersting thread.

Its funny we all expect some one if they are not going to live in a house that they sell it move on and use the money as a wise investment else where.Same with cars. Done with it, sell it!But there are the odd people out there that refuse to follow the system or others ideals. Stories like these are cool to read.
cheers for sharing motorboy

ckd.bu.mopars, Jul 25, 12:53am
Yep,i remember the house on MT Eden road on a rasised corner section,he had many fiats.

mothergoose_nz, Jul 25, 12:58am
new house sat empty because they owners did not realise they would have to pay for the power poles etc to bring the power to the house.

dr.doolittle, Jul 25, 1:06am
He's still there. I drive past almost every day.
Over the years he's added an extension to his workshop & done some fencing.
I dont see so many Bambina's there, for obvious reasons, but he's still mucking about with small Euro's.

sas777, Jul 25, 3:16am
Try looking at the crossroads of Milford Lagoon Road and Prattley Road Temuka.
This guy has cars going back to the 1930's, mainly British. They have been flooded out though, the house being close to the river/sea. I think possibly some salt got to them as I'm told some are very badly deteriorated now

sas777, Jul 25, 3:18am
Oh and of course there are the Baxter boys and their Fords down here in Timmers, but the address shall remain a secret.

el-chico, Jul 25, 10:25am
that one in hamilton with all the jags sounds like this guys collection for sale at turners:

http://www.turners.co.nz/Vehicles/Classic when i first saw this thread I thought you were talking about the chap who caned up chinamans in his RS5 and smashed into an unsuspecting RAV4 and garage the other night. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm!c_id=1&obj
