I understand your position, and am:
A- sad to see a knowledgeable contributor leave, and
B- Pissed at those who are ungratefull enough to take free advice, then bad mouth the likes of yourself to the point you are no longer willing to help out.

Thanks on behalf of everyone you have helped (who are not ungratefull) for your advice thus far.

Hmmm Lear jets. well for starters if you have a lear jet I am pretty sure you can afford to pay a maintanance outfit!
similar to car engines Jet engines are all different in various ways to each other, but unlike cars these differences are HUGE right down to basic design.
I am not a lear jet technician (the aircraft I work on are turbo props) but I would have to agree with above, try putting some new oil in, you can get this cheap at the warehouse. Also try giving the intake and compressor section a wash with some prop wash. Otherwise yourturbo-encabulator may needtightening.or could just be the big end has gone.

Can't see anyone else's livelihood being affected with the last one so I think you're safe with helping the old lady with the potting mix unless you trod on HER toes .

i'm more than happy to get someone else to work on my car if i had the money - but i don't, so i've had to learn how to do some of my own repairs, if i didn't, my kid and wife would go hungry.

thanks for all the advice you guys have given me since i've been posting in here

being in the garden centre its really someone eses job to assist isnt it!

johnf_456, Aug 26, 4:56am
Why LMAO! Its the truth what I said

rpvr, Aug 26, 5:50am
I do a bit of DIY on my car but keep telling myself not to, because it always makes me stressed. I thought that people who do it for a living would be over that part, but obviously not.

kazbanz, Aug 26, 3:21pm
WHAT RUBBISH--Clearly you don't and never have worked on a lear jet.!
The engines on a lear jet are precisely tuned for atmospheric conditions and hemespherical location.
The poster is describing the normal running condition of a lear which is configured for the northern hemisphere.
Reconfigureing for the southern hemesphere is simply a matter of swapping the port with the starboard thrusters.

ontwowheels, Aug 26, 3:45pm
Aha as I said I am not a lear jet Tech- seems like a reasonable enough explanation. Although that could be quite tricky whilst transitting through the equator. I wonder if simply reversing the directional rotation of the compressor sections would suffice.

Because it's a load of bowl-shet!

johnf_456, Aug 26, 4:38pm
its not I am a mechanic as well as avi inspector also you may like to think but i am very knowledgeable when im not pointing things out. So to say im not his a bit of a harsh attack.

mugenb20b, Aug 26, 4:44pm
I'm a mechanic with AVI too, but I was LMAO because you said you were as knowledgeable as 'bob1120'.

hyphen, Aug 26, 8:13pm
if , as you say, you are "very knowledgeable when im not pointing things out", it can be deduced that you are in fact not very knowledgeable when you are pointing things out!

kazbanz, Aug 27, 6:32am
CLEARLY you have not read subsection 6d of the learjet maintainance manual.
"Interchange parts are available at every local learjet depot worldwide"
GET with the program

Just on the offchance anybody is taking this lil convo seriously we are both taking the mickey

ontwowheels, Aug 27, 8:25am
haha- hate for someone to actually try this on their learjet!
no I havnt read the manual. I just wing it and make things up as i go, if it fits put it on. If it cant be fixed with a hammer or duct tape, its an avionics problem!

johnf_456, Aug 27, 10:53am
Yeah I point things out more than posting knowledge so some may think I don't know much, its just how I am lol.

johnf_456, Aug 27, 10:54am
Well I'm probably younger than him so it is to be expected, guessing here. But what I was trying to say was I am knowledgeable unlike some others who post here.

bjdw, Aug 27, 1:48pm
REALLY!!Glad you told me, I was gonna buy a bottle of lifter clean and try that. What a waste of money that would have been.

mugenb20b, Aug 27, 3:37pm
I was being sarcastic.
