if you have purchased an item based on a photo, I would expect to receive the item EXACTLY as photographed. IF the wrecked intended to sell separately, they should have separated BEFORE advertising. I would complain

Did the listing say; ( sample photo only)! if not, the boot should have come as pictured, standard rules n regs on here. Pick a Part sell all spoilers for $20 & they usually have a few in their yard.

do you need a boot lid for wof! as your car has no spoiler there must already be a high stop tail light in the rear window.

Yes rust in the old one too close to hinges, yes high stop light in window.I would need to get the stop light in the spoiler wired up as it blocks the one in the window anyway so will just duct tape over holes for time being.

Please correct me if I got the wrong slant on this.I read it that you asked for them to put up a pic so you could make sure the colour was the same. AFTER you had requested the Boot lid.They did what you asked and you wanted more.You got the two things you asked for; the correct colour and the boot lid.How was that bad customer service!'Course I may have misread it.Cheers

Bang on!But because the pic showed a lid with spoiler i asumed it would come that way, yes my bad for not confirming but their bad for not stipulating the spoiler was extra as not everyone knows they would be a separate part and id imagine not every wrecker would remove it. Anyway im keeping it and taping holes until I have time to fill, its only cosmetic and the cars far from show condition anyway.

In theory the wrecker should have shown the boot lid without the spoiler. It's just a bit lazy of them to take ONE photo and use it for both (they could have listed the spoiler separately) and sold it as well, using the same photo but explaining that it was just the spoiler they were selling.

No that's not unreasonable, if it was supposed to have a spoiler then you are entitled to it. The pic was the reference and that's what you purchased. It breaks the Consumers Guarantees Act not supplying what was purveyed for sale.
