For insulation I have foam that is sprayed on, you don't have to worry about the wires with this. I am using ply and I will put some type of carpet over it (not like house floor carpet) head room is vital so I don't want to put layers of wood up there.
What does the builders paper do for the roof! I was told it was good to have under the floor but I will paint with something like bituman I think (sp) I need to talk to a paint person for info on that and suggestions I think.

The foam stuff you talked about maybe to stop staining of lining. I was told to use the builders paper to stop getting stain lines where the lining is touching the metal framing. you will get condinsation forming in the lining.

Be careful that the spray on foam does not react with your wiring. Some polystyrenes for example break down the outer covering on TPS (the white 230V wring typically used in houses) As suggested above putting the wiring inside conduit is always a good idea. Are you going to go the LED lighting way!
The thing here is if you **picked** the **gluing** advice and well! Twere it moi and per se a leak developed in a water pipe for moi califont! Or some branch came down against the side of me bus.! Nothing wrong with rivets or screws for interior bus linings. Incedentaly one chickie babe in Aucks has a double decker bus she built herself.

So do you get condensation with the building paper between the frame and lining!

The problem is Polystyrene this stuff is a foam not a plastic product. Most of my wire is on wood not the foam too. I have researched the foam and it's all ok next to wire. Absolutely LED lighting I am not using house wire in my bus so no probs there

I have built buses and truck bodies for 25 years and there are a lot of tapes and adhessives available. Sellys! have a product called seal,n,flex that will work well and you can buy it at Bunnings. It will bond to most surfaces and allows you to use rivets discretly where they will not be seen. As for the building paper, I have built hundreds of buses and trucks and I do mean hundreds and we never used building paper in the roofs or under the floors. Insulate your roof and walls with polystyrene flush with your framework then line the inside with either, 3mm formica, 1.2 alloy or plywood to suit. If you use ply wood make sure you use a good sealer/primer on the insulation side (oil based sealer would be best but there are good water based products out there.) After its lined you can glue fabricor carpet etc over you linings or paint it etc.
