me too and no but my lawyer works forwillis toomey in Napier

splinter67, Oct 18, 5:08pm
come on woodrow you seem to like quoting law

therafter1, Oct 18, 5:30pm
You do not need to be a lawyer to know law, and you do not need to be a lawyer to know basic facts relating to law in certain areas in which you have rights that are reasonably common knowledge !

Additionally, in this day and age with the internet etc you have a lot of information available to you that you can find relatively easily . not just internet forums such as this message board !

splinter67, Oct 18, 5:47pm
Thanks but I will take my legal advice from some one who studied law not a high school dropout

therafter1, Oct 18, 6:10pm
Go for your life mate . but as has already been suggested above, you may be well advised to seek your legal advice from elsewhere, as the advice that you presently seem to be being provided with appears to be flawed !

a.woodrow, Oct 18, 6:44pm
Yep I studied commercial law, not quite the same but one you can read a little legalese it all tastes similar

smac, Oct 19, 6:07am
So go ask for a refund.

Mind you, in saying that, the two cases will be different, and none of us have all the facts of both.

splinter67, Oct 19, 6:17am
so another lawyer stick with what you guys know because law isnt it

a.woodrow, Oct 19, 4:03pm
Lol well nobody can tell you can they. Bottom line is, if you are happy for your insurance company to rip you off, we don't care.

splinter67, Oct 19, 8:16pm
My toyota ran out of rego which one of ya can I run into should be all good ya reckon put ya money where ya mouth is better make it ya flash car to make it worthwhile

splinter67, Oct 20, 6:27am
None of ya keen to try out your theory then hmmm

splinter67, Oct 21, 9:50am
come on guys the wof runs out on tuesday next youll be telling me I dont need that for insurance

a.woodrow, Oct 21, 10:53am
Like I said, if you're happy to be taken for a ride by your insurance, more fool you

splinter67, Oct 21, 10:55am
so dont want to test your theory then

a.woodrow, Oct 21, 10:59am
Why don't you ring your insurance company! I'm sure under pressure they will admit they are in the wrong and you can get your payout, then you won't have to be so bitter

splinter67, Oct 21, 11:03am
why dont you stand behind your word if your so sure that it will work but not sure are you got to love internet lawyers

supernova2, Oct 21, 11:05am
You dont. What difference would a wof make to your car being stolen or catching fire!

splinter67, Oct 21, 11:08am
its not insured for that its a 1990 camry if someone wants to steal it they can have it

andrea_w, Oct 21, 11:15am
a.woodrow - Never argue with an idiot; they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.
Just saying.

a.woodrow, Oct 21, 11:19am
Thanks - you'd think I would have learnt by now

splinter67, Oct 21, 11:25am
so another internet lawyer the place is full of them

andrea_w, Oct 21, 11:27am
I don't remember quoting any legal advice.

splinter67, Oct 21, 11:30am
no but withyou are calling me an idiot because I dont agree with an internet lawyer who dosnt want to stand behind his word

andrea_w, Oct 21, 11:33am
Don't recall pointing out any specific person as an idiot either. it was just generic advice he can use in day to day life.

I'll bet if the insurance coy got a sniff of the proposition that splinter is putting up here " testing.theory" they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Pretty sure insurance companies would take a dim view of such suggestions .and if they did get wind of such and the deed actually did happen there could be a lot more than "testing theories" to be answered to in a court of law.
Initiating and acting on such suggestions as "testing .theory" could errr on being classed as a crime in itself.
I sense "shadow arguing" here .again.Mr Splinter.
