Bump; still waiting for a reply from pollymay! After 15 years of throwing sponsors money away racing Targa with our best result being only a 1st in class we??

What car are you in will see you on the last day going to be a marshal somewhere haven't been given spots yet

pollymay, Oct 18, 6:09am
Oh right I missed this. Simply put I wouldn't, stressful, lots of money/time I don't have etc. My car is fun, it's fast and does well at what it does. I don't take kindly to someone who competes at a higher level with that higher cashflow trying to tell me why my car is wrong when we are talking a few hundred dollars worth of car. It's kind of a moot point, I have a million other things to worry about before trying to build the ultimate race machine from an old honda that has been crashed, fixed, crashed and beaten to death again several times

You can do what you like with your sponsor money, I'm unsure how this relates to things, I don't tell you how to setup your car, merely example how some of the big boys should mind their own business and maybe consider I don't have anyone that helps me work on the car, money from anyone to maintain it or change turbos or even the time to race it sometimes. The fact it does well despite that should be entertaining, not threatening or insulting but for some reason others don't entirely share that view

LOL; no prob's mate, I'm just winding you up a bit.

sr2, Oct 18, 9:58am
It's a blue 135I BMW,no 708. I'm the bald old prick in the co-drivers seat, make sure you say "hi".

splinter67, Oct 18, 10:08am
Will do see ya at the finish

pollymay, Oct 18, 12:19pm
Careful, might go for the money shot and challenge you to a race at puke when it's done. Go big or go home

johnf_456, Oct 18, 1:40pm
Don't worry hes easy to spot splinter67 I wil be there amongst the mechanical support team for a friend.

So I may see you about

sr2, Oct 18, 1:43pm
What's your best lap time at Puke!

pollymay, Oct 18, 2:47pm
Never tried in the prelude, in fact I haven't raced it since I moved the motor to the back due to lack of time to fix a headgasket problem. The old mr2 I think was about 1:17, not sure cause it has been a while. 2 braking points the whole track, could flat stick it from the hairpin to the second turn; raw power and all. There is also a self important official there I'd rather avoid.

Can bring my 2005 maxima down though and blast the air con through the turns wallowing about lol.

You realise the logical next step with that car is to put a 2nd motor in the front!

I am, and pit crewing (with Clint Taylor) for Mike Sexton, #604 BMW M3, Hope to catch you guys in person.
It will be an interesting week.
Cheers, Panelvanner
