Fail all three.

In saying that, the damage within the CVA is hard to pick in the photos, so an actual visual would be required to see if the damage falls inside or outside of CVA damage criteria.

Here's what the VIRM says.
4 Lighting
4-7 Rearward-facing position lamps
Condition
8. A lamp is insecure or, if a mandatory lamp, contains moisture in the form of large droplets, runs or puddles.
9. A lens is missing, or has a hole, crack or other damage that allows moisture or dirt to enter.
10. A lamp??

LOL
Now I'm just a random bloke from Napier you understand, but if I was to guess I'd say the Medics had a bit of an argument about this with VTNZ.

Carmedic, I congratulate you on, well, just doing your job really! shame not everyone can! Won't it be great if they get rid of WOFs! Imagine the rubbish we'll be driving around with, going on this type of standard allready!

intrade, Oct 16, 7:17pm
what do you mean it wont be worse with no wof as they pass everything already and just ask you to pay them money so all that does is waste your money that you will save with no wofs.

lyonruge, Oct 17, 5:24am
M, i wasnt sure if i put that right. But if you look at the standard now with a percentage of people going for wof's, ah never mind! I believe in safety, lets leave it at that.

OK here's something to ponder: this is a thread with some pretty clear photos, and it has still kicked off a big scrap about the rules and regs. Yet you guys still bag other inspectors that have different interpretations (i.e. VTNZ )

You've all just proven there is an issue with the current subjectivity.

intrade, Oct 17, 6:48am
yea just dont go to vtnz if you wish to be save

lyonruge, Oct 17, 10:21am
Theres nothing unclear about the regulations in thiscase. the problem is either lazy or incompetant inspectors and the failure to dicipline them.
