got a 1st car for my daughter to learn in. A 1994 pulsar m1 manual. had a look at a few 4 doors that were crap and then found this one that i thought would hold its value better. The chap was a WOF inspector goin overseas.( I think he put the last wof on it. DUH)He said he would not sell a dud.Well 6 months on the wof repairs are around $1000 and thats with me doing a lot of the work. Just goes to show , you cant trust anybody

What sort of things tyres, battery, brake pads coolant!

What were the repairs! The little things can easily add up to that, and with a car that old not necessarily the previous owners fault.

Interesting warrant failure items there-old chap! And ya wonder why we wonder sometimes.

Those Pulsar's are far too old to be mucking about with now. I don't know why so many people still insist on hyping them up, times change, you can have a better, safer car that's nearly twice as new for the same money.

failed on brake pads coolant! or was the brake fluid level a little low!

failed on 1 tyre 205/16`s (getting rare, so got a matching pair to keep it safe). rust in A pillar . front brake Hoses. steering boot .door hindges (100each , (and 2nd hand ones were as bad as hers) ummmmm trying not to think about it

Feel for ya with the 16" tyres, not a lot of variety. $200 for an average tyre. $300 for anything decent. Sounds like bad luck wear and tear though.

Hope ya ain't back here in another six months and ya get a decent WHEEL ALINGMENT.re tyrs and rack boot. rust- well age etc and.brake hoses =same door hinges-sheesh this is *motoring*-don't take long to rebush a hinge-or cost much-(although admitdley nissan hinge pin kits are dear-tis cheaper to simply redrill and rebush yaself) Damn thing didn't come out on sixteen inch wheels-and that's really ya biggest cost. And tyres are able to be *visualy inspected*-you should have SEEN the tyre problem

yep!No excuses. Its my Fault . I should have spent more time looking at the car. Im not trying to get anything back or anything , just kicking myself that I Trusted Someone I thought, should be trust worthy.

Yip whoever is doing ya rust! might pay to be nailing that pillar-and possibly the rest of the car with some underseal and fishoilene.

yes , that is going on the to do list. Anything that age isnt going to be rust free.I have seen a few spots the rust neutilizer will be treating soon.Trying to teach her how to look after them properly is proving to be a misson , but well get there

We do wonder some times wonder about some here. Especially when they use English for a change, not a cryptic code.

THe old fulla would have said ,"Fiil the sills up with waste oil son. That will stop em from rustin, and kill the weeds on the drive aswell"

Well it could be anything, so how do we get a car with a stuffed battery, no coolant to be driveable to test brakes etc let alone get it from your home to workshop.
