Why "and yourself"! Are you the chairman of the Hurt Feelings Council or something!

AGAIN - I'll wait for the Authorities' report thanks.

Only too happy to eat my words W.R.T. the driver if it turns out he's not at fault, as others have said he was obviously pretty on the ball in getting everyone off the bus in plenty of time.

Believe it or not I am familiar with lazy-axle buses and what they are. Commuting to work every day in Wellington I have a basic understanding of the kind of terrain they frequently DO manage to get over, day in day out, without any problems. Hence my surprise that one would get stuck at the Paekakariki level crossing.

You'll be waiting a long time then chump.

All day on this thread you've been acting (pretending!) like you have specialist inside knowledge of these events.

But you won't say anything about who you are, or what your sources are, or how you might come know what you say you know.

You just flame anyone you disagree with, but you act all offended that it comes right back to you.

^ Even if Berg didn't have any more information than us, he was still right.

Fortunately, the bulk of posters on this MB understand that it is foolish to judge harshly when the facts are not in your possession.

I heard the driver of the icecream van (that drove past the scene the day prior) had been taking drugs and was hiding chocolate flakes into the centre of the snowcones for free. He ought to be hung for rotting those poor children's teeth. Also, he did 56 kmph outside a school one night while thinking satanic thoughts and drawing pictures of dead ponies,

I'll have to take your word for it then!

^^ if you had seen this crossing you would immediatley understand . It enters directly on to SH1on a rise, very short distance between road & tracks .

I see the stuff article has now been updated and it's all as you say.bus driver is a GC and I was completely wrong in thinking he was at fault.
