my old job i got .64c hour if i needed any tools all i need was a order number from the office (most of the time i just used my name for O/N) we also got 25% off 90% of all tool aswell we could book up $100's on tools and use our tool allowence to pay it off.my tools are not needed in my new job as all tools are supply if i need any i just have to ask.

used to get $8 a week-opened a tool account with a rep who used to visit and added $8 a week of my own and just let it build until i needed something.
was buying some snap on but one item a year took too long.lol
