I've got an old LH SLR Torana it is factory SLR but now is running a strong 308 with a m21 box & 9 inch. The body is straight & has been rust proofed since new and has not been cut for flares so body is original. What do you think its worth now!

Worth whatever someone will pay SLRs arent common even in OZ, Plenty of fakes around though its only as real as you can prove on the build plate

I've got the original books from new, all the numbers match & have the original number plates (black) & Regis sill on hold.

Haven't we been down this road before! pretty sure last time there was doubt about how "genuine" the car is because you changed engines, which obviously would mean not a numbers matching car. Does it have round or rectangle headlights!

It come out of the factory an SLR but now runs a 308 & 9 inch it's not that hard to work out!

What people are saying is that (like anything) it is worth what someone will pay for it, but if it was original (or you still have all original parts) it would be worth a lot more.

You are sending mixed messages about it having matching numbers while also stating it has new gearbox/diff etc. not sure about the motor by your description! You have also given no real idea of the real condition, or whether the interior has been similarly modified.

If you want an idea of value search out similar car sale prices recently.

it was a real one till whoever put the m21 and the 9 inch in now its a modified slr if you could put the original stuff back in it will be worth 3 times as much

The m21 is probly the original optionbox anyway,providing its a Holden m21.E-bay the car in Oz,and if no luck try trade me.A few years ago the price would have been a lot better.

The problem is everytime you post something every couple of months 'bout this "SL/R" you muddy the waters further.

How 'bout producing some numbers so the Holden experts among us (myself included to a certain extent, Having owned 105 Holdens of between 1970 & 1979 qualifies me) can wade through the crap and finally see what you really have.

By the sound of it all you really have is a SL/R shell, which realisticly is worth 2/5s of f all.

LOL, not really.well maybe, but 105 out of approx' 217 cars (as at 12:33 26/10/2012, may have another within 3 hours) it's not too bad.
