Are you serious lol
sorry had to be said

mr-serious, Oct 26, 11:40am
Very serious

bellky, Oct 26, 11:41am
If it was a v8 all original it would be worth about 30g+.

If your one was an 8 originally then about 20g+ probly.

If your one was a 6 originally then it would need to be pretty mean to get more than 20 for it.

LMFAO, a six cylinder SL/R. I've it ALL now. Stick to ya chook cookers mate.

ofive, Oct 26, 11:55am
There are 6 cylinder SLR Torana's just as there are 6 cylinder SS Toranas

attitudedesignz, Oct 26, 11:59am
Oh my god, the drivel continues, link to these "mythical' cars please.

chebry, Oct 26, 1:09pm
SL/R came out with 308 only there was no 6 cylinder version

bwg11, Oct 26, 1:38pm
I thought there were 3 engine options so checked "World Cars 1997" which lists 3 engine options for the SL/R, the 202, the 253 and the 308. Just for interest, new prices were $6070, $6386 and $6873.By way of comparison, a 202 HX Kingswood was $5588.

chebry, Oct 26, 1:48pm
SLR 5000 was written along the lower doors on these cars meaning 308 cube engine it was the race homologation car not the 6cylinder shopping cart

bwg11, Oct 26, 1:52pm
Agree totally. All SL/R 5000's are 308's, but I though we were discussing SL/R's in general.

from wikipedia for all you guesers

March 1974 saw the first completely new Torana body, with the arrival of the larger mid-sized LH series, produced in four-door sedan style only. Despite the larger external size, the car was relatively cramped by mid-1970s standards. It resembled other GM products of its generation, notably the Opel Ascona. It was unique in that, following the addition of a 4-cylinder option in May 1974, the same body style was available with a choice of inline 4, inline 6, or V8 engines, specifically, 1.9-litre Opel four, 2.85- and 3.3-litre Holden 'red' sixes, and 4.2- and 5.0-litre Holden V8s.The 5.0-litre engine was reserved for the sporting LH Torana SL/R 5000 sedan. A special build derivative of the SL/R 5000 was the Bathurst-intended 'L34 Option',

this is almost as good as the offset wheel guess

A mate of mine had a genuine all standard one which he swapped for a 911 Porsche about 4 years ago. It sold on here about 2 years back for 40k, was in Gore then.

splinter67, Oct 26, 2:02pm
yup standard ones are worth gold modified ones not so much

sifty, Oct 26, 2:11pm
I would say the SL/R3300 would be fairly rare and worth a bit nowadays too (if unmolested).

poppajn, Oct 26, 2:30pm
And rare too cobber, real rare, 3300 was a 6 as in XU-1, never in SLR.

ofive, Oct 26, 2:31pm
Why dont you come back when you have something correct to say. So many people talking bs in this thread
